From 4 July, places of worship will be able to reopen for prayer and services.

• Services are resuming but the Sunday obligation to attend mass remains suspended.
• Capacity at church is reduced. To ease pressure and to ensure your safety, we ask you to consider the possibility of attending Mass on a weekday.
• Services will be held in accordance with social distancing rules and government advice.
• As with any other public gathering, people with underlying health issues should not attend.
• Mass times are the same as before lockdown

Specific arrangements at St.Michael’s
– Hand sanitiser will be available at church.
– We have rearranged the pews to enable us to operate a one-way system in the church.
– Holy Communion will be offered in the form of the host only and it must be received in your hand.
– Communion will be given and received in silence.
– There will be no singing.
– There will be no mass books, hymn books or any other literature for general use.
– If you are a reader you will be provided with a disinfected mass book.
– The church will be disinfected after Sunday mass. We’re looking for volunteers if this is something you’re able to help with.
