Today we honour the fathers, grandfathers, father figures and men who lead with love, faith, patience and strength. 💙

Thank you for the ways you encourage, protect, guide, pray and quietly show up for the people God has placed in your life.

May you be reminded today that the example you set, the love you give and the faith you live out can leave an impact far beyond what you may ever see.

Wishing all the dads and father figures in our church family a very Happy Father’s Day. May God bless you, strengthen you and continue to guide you in all that you do.

In a world that can feel harsh, reactive, and focused on self, God calls us to something different.

To be humble.
To be gentle.
To be patient with one another.
To lead with grace, love, and peace.

These qualities may feel rare, but they are powerful and they still matter today.

May we be people who don’t just speak about love, but live it, in the way we respond, the way we treat others, and the way we choose peace over pride.

When God gave Solomon the opportunity to ask for anything, he didn’t ask for wealth, power, success or even a long life. He simply asked for an understanding heart and the wisdom to lead God’s people well.

That is such a humbling request.

What I love most is God’s response. Because Solomon’s desire wasn’t centred on himself but on serving others faithfully, God not only granted him wisdom unlike anyone before or after him, but also blessed him with what he hadn’t even asked for.

Sometimes the greatest blessings come when we stop chasing them and instead seek God’s wisdom first.
