We are excited to begin on this journey that is EMP Stake History Recording..... so many things to record and make mention of..

How wonderful was the Stake conference today?

Remember President Mark Raymond Gibsons' talk on Sunday about "The Saints" books.. And how he challenged us to read them.... As they contain and accurate and true history of the beginning of the Church of Jesus Christ...??

Did you know that these books were written, researched and compiled by reading many Early Saints journal writings, History recording, newsletters and other such things.. How cool is that???

Imagine this... One day (in 100 years or more) we... The EMP Australia Stake of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints might have need for a book of our journey, growth, struggles, stories and membership...

Please help us to gather, compile and record these events....

We would very much appreciate your help and support in this calling..
As it is one that CAN NOT be done without your help...

Welcome to our Eight Mile Plains Stake History page.....

[Our] Purpose [is in]
Preparing and submitting an annual history. [This] helps fulfill the Lord’s charge to “continue in writing and making a history of all the important things . . . concerning my church. . . . And also, my servants who are abroad in the earth should send forth the accounts of their stewardships” (D&C 69:3, 5). With this Purpose in mind we encourage you to share with us your experiences, testimonies, photos, memories and anything that is history related to the Brisbane, Australia, Eight Mile Plains Stake.

Submissions suggestions may include the following list of things.... as well as a vast array of historically worthy events.

Ward and Stake events and activities,
Special occasions -(weddings and births)
Remembering or love ones passed
Ordinances (baby blessings, baptism, callings received and released, Priesthood advancement, Temple Sealings, Endowments)
Mission Calls, departures, experiences, returns, talks
Family reunions
Graduations - Uni, Tafe, Institute, Seminary
Community events and involvements, accomplishments or service
Ward or Stake Service projects
and any other major event that takes place during the years.

We need your help and participation to be our eyes and ears within the individual wards and the surrounding community.

This can be as simple as a photo with
- full name details
- date
- event occasion and
-location....
For a little extra you may also like to include a blurb or report of the event. Or share with us your feelings, participation or how your testimony was strengthened.

We look forward to receiving all your additions to our Brisbane, Australia, Eight Mile Planes Stake History Recording in the making.
