We are reminded at BBC of the verse from Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season,
A time for every activity under heaven.

We ae blessed to have Lindsay Croll step in as Interim Pastor again, this will be his 3rd time in this role. During this time we will be not only reflecting on the past, but seeking God's guidance for our future. New beginnings, while can be daunting for some, can be a very exciting time, so watch this space as we journey together into the next phase for BBC.

OLD PEW CHAIRS
A lovely thank you message from Margaret Bower
I would like to thank Lindsay Pocknall for doing such a wonderful restoration on the communion chairs, which was made by Rev K. Evans, our minister about 1949. He was a cabinet maker by trade and he made the communion table (inside the present communion table) and 5 chairs for the original pews in the 1st Bathurst Baptist Church in Keppel St.
The pews were made from a rare timber of Australian Red Cedar and hand made nails in 1867. After 82 years they were replaced by theatre seats. These are the only original pieces of history that we have from 1867.
Thank you Lindsay for the beautiful job that you have done.

Gary Baker (Senior Pastor) 2004-2011
Pastor Gary’s passion was to reach out to the community and to those who were hurting. There are always people in need.

Gary’s heart was to connect the Bathurst Baptist Church to the community through the church’s compassion ministry that looked for ways to help others in need.
