🙏 Thank you to all our wonderful parents who said YES to the call to help their children grow in faith and receive the Sacraments. ❤️

Tonight, we held our Information Evening for the 2026–2027 Sacramental Program at St Mary’s Parish.

We are excited to begin a new program, a new approach and a deeper journey of faith for our children and their families. ✨

A special thank you to all the parents who came along, asked questions and shared their commitment to helping their children encounter Jesus through the Sacraments.

Sacramental Program 2026–2027
Invitation to Children in Grade 3 and Above
We warmly invite children in Grade 3 and above who have not yet received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist to take part in our Sacramental Program for 2026–2027.

We will begin with an Information Evening for Parents, where we will explain the program, requirements and the journey ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is the Sacramental Program for?
The program is primarily for baptised children in Grade 3 and above who have not yet received one or more of these Sacraments.

What if my child has not been baptised?
You are very welcome to speak with us. If your child has not yet been baptised but is interested in preparing for the Sacraments, please let us know.

We can provide a suitable period of formation and preparation, with the possibility of celebrating the child’s Baptism in early November, so that they can then be prepared to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation later in November.

What is the timeline for the Sacramental Program?
November 2026: Sacrament of Reconciliation
May 2027: Sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist, to be celebrated with Bishop René

Further information about the program, preparation sessions, dates and requirements will be provided at the Information Evening for Parents.

We warmly encourage all interested parents to come along and learn more about this important journey of faith for their children.

Yesterday, our Young Adult group gathered again and started with the Holy Rosary, followed by our fun church scavenger hunt! Ten hidden envelopes, ten clues, and letters to collect—each clue leading us to the next until we finally completed the word MIRACULOUS!

It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Mary’s Assumption and Queenship this month. We all receive our Miraculous Medal necklace and learn about the meaning that reminds us of Mary’s loving intercession and encourages us to turn to her with faith and trust, knowing that she always leads us closer to Jesus.
We also had a little Catholic 101 with Fr Novie, learning some simple but meaningful things about our church, our faith, and what we see around us😇

We then enjoyed pizza, good conversations, lots of laughs, and also celebrated the birthday of one of our beautiful members! We ended the evening by planning our next activities together.

So grateful for this beautiful fellowship—growing in faith, friendship, and joy together!

What an inspiring evening as more than 30 parish ministries and groups came together for the launch of the St Mary's Parish Strategic Plan 2026–2031.

This wasn't simply the launch of a document, it was the beginning of a shared commitment to the future of our parish. Together, we reflected on our mission, explored our priorities, and discovered how every ministry can help bring our vision to life over the next five years.

Thank you to everyone who generously gave their time, wisdom, experience, and encouragement. Your ideas, conversations, and commitment will help shape a parish that continues to grow in faith, strengthen our community, and inspire future generations to know, love, and serve Christ.

Every ministry has unique gifts to offer. When we work together, those gifts become a powerful witness of God's love and help build a welcoming, vibrant, and hope-filled parish for all.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone!

What a beautiful day it was! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our first St Mary’s Mini-Market such a wonderful success over the weekend.

To all our amazing stall captains, volunteers, donors, bakers, families, and everyone who gave their time and support, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Your generosity and willingness to help made the day so special.

A heartfelt thank you to the Moore Community, St Mary’s Primary School Kids Choir, and our Parish Youth Choir for sharing your beautiful voices during Mass, and to our wonderful kids who helped with the Prayers of the Faithful. Thank you for sharing your time and talents and making our celebration even more meaningful.

And a very special thank you to our wonderful kids and young performers.You brought so much joy, energy and happiness to the day. Seeing you share your talents and perform with such confidence truly made our Mini-Market extra special. We are so proud of each of you.

It was so lovely seeing our parish, school and wider community come together, helping, sharing, laughing and simply enjoying the day together. This is what community is all about.

Every helping hand, donation, purchase and smile brought us closer to our fundraising goal, and we are so grateful for every single one of you.

Thank you for making our first Mini-Market such a beautiful and memorable day.

Parish Strategic Plan 2026–2031 – Reflection

Our Parish Strategic Plan 2026–2031 is about looking at who we are as a parish and where God is calling us to go. We can’t do it alone, we need to work together, using the gifts and talents each person brings.

Our goal is simple: to grow in faith together.

We want to be a parish that welcomes people, recognises their gifts, and sends them out as evangelisers, sharing the joy of the Gospel with others.

This plan is more than a document. It’s about praying, serving, growing and walking together as one faith community. Together, let’s grow our parish and bring more people closer to Christ.

On Wednesday evening, 19 August 2025, our parishioners, especially our ministry leaders, will gather to reflect, share ideas and help plan the future of our parish.
