Join us this weekend as we celebrate Corpus Christi Sunday. Following each Mass, we will conclude with Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction in thanksgiving for the gift of the Holy Eucharist.

At the Sunday Mass, there will also be a short Eucharistic Procession from the church into the church courtyard as a public witness of our faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ‘‘ Santacruzan 2026 โ€“ A Beautiful Celebration of Faith, Culture and Community ๐Ÿ‘‘๐ŸŒธ

What a joyful and colourful day it was at St Maryโ€™s Parish yesterday as our community came together to celebrate Santacruzan 2026.

Santacruzan is a cherished Filipino religious and cultural tradition that commemorates the finding of the Holy Cross by St Helena (Reina Elena). More than a procession of queens, it is a celebration of faith, devotion, heritage, and community, bringing generations together in prayer and thanksgiving.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported this year's celebration. Seeing our parish and wider community come together made the occasion truly special.

A special thank you to our Parish Priest, Fr Novie Lim, for his guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support of the Filipino community and this beautiful tradition. Your leadership and presence helped make this celebration meaningful for all.

To our dedicated Santacruzan Events Team, led by Cindy Narvasa, thank you for the months of preparation, planning, and countless hours of service behind the scenes. From coordinating the procession and program to decorating the venue and organising every detail, your hard work and commitment made this event a wonderful success. A special thank you to our event host, Jenky Seno, for leading the program with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

We are also grateful to our readers, commentator, altar servers, volunteers, coordinators, clicker, photographers, and everyone who generously shared their time and talents throughout the celebration. Your contributions enriched the event and helped bring the story and significance of Santacruzan to life.

Our last week Pentecost celebration was made even more joyful by the wonderful participation of our children and youth, who beautifully presented the "Holy Spirit Fire" dance.

Their energy, enthusiasm, and faith-filled performance reminded us of the fire of the Holy Spirit that continues to inspire and unite our parish community. Thank you to all the children, youth, parents who participated and offer their time and effort to make this special presentation possible.๐Ÿ˜‡

Last week Pentecost Sunday, we joyfully celebrated the blessing of "Our Lady's Devotions & Delights," a humble parish piety store dedicated to nurturing faith and devotion to Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother. Before Easter, the Holy Spirit planted a vision in our heartsโ€”to restore an old, forgotten kiosk and transform it into a place of faith and devotion for our parish community. Through prayer, generosity, service, and unity, that vision became a reality.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Novie Lim, our Young Adult Ministry members, Troy, Danielle, Gary, Kenn, Michael, Troy's parents, Natasha and Allan, and everyone who supported this mission with their time, talents, prayers, and generosity.
What was once old and forgotten now stands as a beautiful reminder of Christ's Resurrectionโ€”that God can renew and transform even the simplest things for His glory.

As we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, we pray that this ministry continues to inspire faith, strengthen hearts, and draw people closer to Christ through the loving guidance of Mama Mary.

To Our Blessed Mother, we lovingly entrust this mission.๐Ÿ˜‡

This Pentecost weekend, our parish community came together in a beautiful celebration of faith, fellowship, and unity. As we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, the birth of the Church, we are reminded that the Spirit continues to move and work through each one of us today.

Following Saturday and todayโ€™s mass, parishioners generously brought Australian Dish to share as families and friends gathered in fellowship during the Gโ€™Day Weekend. Moments like these remind us that the Church is not only built within the walls of the parish, but also through community, kindness, and shared joy.

Today also marked the opening of ๐Ž๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‹๐š๐๐ฒโ€™๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ kiosk after Mass. A huge thank you to our dedicated Young Adults for their time, effort, and service in bringing this initiative to life for our parish community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the St Maryโ€™s School Choir for their wonderful performance and for sharing their gifts so beautifully with the congregation led and organised by Colleen Hampson.

A special thank you to Chamali Stouter for generously donating the beautiful Pentecost cakes shared with our parish community this weekend and to Golda Perera for the balloon decors. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

In todayโ€™s homily, we were reminded that the Holy Spirit may be invisible like the wind, but we can see its effects, in acts of compassion, generosity, unity, and love. Each of us has been given gifts by God, and those gifts are meant to be shared with others.

A Blessed Journey for Our Parish Kiosk

Last April 4, after the Holy Saturday celebration on the night before Easter, the Holy Spirit moved in our hearts with a vision โ€” to restore the old kiosk and transform it into a Catholic devotional shop for our parish community. ๐Ÿ™
What began as a simple inspiration became a beautiful message of Resurrection for us โ€” that through Godโ€™s grace, old things can be renewed and brought back to life for His greater glory. Guided by the Holy Spirit and dedicated lovingly to Mama Mary, this mission slowly came to life step by step.

๐Ÿ“ April 13 โ€“ Our first meeting was held
๐Ÿ“ April 21 โ€“ Woodworks and restoration began
๐Ÿ“ April 27 โ€“ Started ordering Catholic devotional items
๐Ÿ“ April 28 โ€“ Wooden surfaces were fully sanded and the first coat of paint was applied
๐Ÿ“ May 2 โ€“ Received our first Catholic devotional items
๐Ÿ“ May 4 โ€“ Outside painting of the kiosk was completed
๐Ÿ“ May 7 โ€“ During our Young Adult Fellowship, we gathered again in prayer and discernment for the name of the shop. Through Godโ€™s guidance, we were led to the name:
โ€œOur Ladyโ€™s Devotions & Delightsโ€
๐Ÿ“ May 13 โ€“ Inside and outside painting of the kiosk was fully completed. Two pots of camellia plants were provided, and rubber gym flooring was placed inside the kiosk
๐Ÿ“ May 17 โ€“ General cleaning, displaying of items, and pricing preparations

We thank our Young Adult Ministry and everyone who offered their time, talents, prayers, and support in making this mission possible. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Novie Lim for his constant support, encouragement, guidance, and prayers throughout this project. Thank you for believing in our vision and helping guide us spiritually as this mission unfolded. May this small devotional shop become a place where faith is nourished, hearts are inspired, and devotion to Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother grows stronger.

๐Ÿ™ We warmly invite everyone to join us on Pentecost Sunday for the blessing of our kiosk, Our Ladyโ€™s Devotions & Delights. As we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, may this ministry continue to be guided by His presence and become a source of grace and inspiration for our parish community.

To Mama Mary, we entrust this humble project mission. ๐Ÿ’™
