As we mark the Solemnity of the Assumption tomorrow, Mass will be celebrated in place of Six30 Holy Hour. Join us at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 6.30pm.

A new monthly series will be launched afterwards: Holy Hour+ Candid Conversations on Catholic life. Fr Frankie Mulgrew, former stand-up comedian, now Catholic priest, will be our first guest. Join us from 7.30pm for this conversation over wine and cheese at 486 Albert Street, East Melbourne.

Join us this evening for a special mass celebrated by Archbishop Peter A Comensoli, His Excellency Most Rev Paul Gallagher (Secretary for the Relations with States and International Organisations, Secretariat of State, Holy See), and His Excellency Most Rev Charles Balvo (Apostolic Nuncio to Australia). Mass begins at 5:30 pm. Holy Hour to follow after as usual following Mass.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Commonwealth of Australia and the Vatican, Archbishop Peter A Comensoli is delighted to welcome His Excellency Most Rev Paul Gallagher (Secretary for the Relations with States and International Organisations, Secretariat of State, Holy See) and His Excellency Most Rev Charles Balvo (Apostolic Nuncio to Australia) to Melbourne next week.

As part of their visit, Archbishops Gallagher and Balvo will join Archbishop Comensoli and clergy of the Archdiocese to celebrate Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday 9 November, 5.30pm. All are welcome.

For more than 20 years, young people from around Melbourne have been gathering at St Patrick’s Cathedral on a Thursday night for a time of quiet prayer and adoration of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Come along this Thursday (21 September @ 6.30pm), where Archbishop Peter A Comensoli will lead us in adoration and guest speaker John Pridmore will share his incredible story of God’s mercy and love. All welcome! 🙏

Friends, for the next two weeks (27th and 3rd) SIX30 Holy Hour will be on a little break as many of our priests and young adults travel to WYD in Lisbon. We look forward to returning renewed and refreshed, and ready to share with you all our experiences on Thursday 10 August. Please unite in prayer over this time with our pilgrims and the young people of the world making their way to World Youth Day.
