When Father Mark Vincent retired as Honorary Priest-in-Charge at St Paul’s in 2024, Bart decided to plant a tree in the grounds, on behalf of the parish, in recognition of the contribution that both Mark and Julie have made to St Paul’s for over 20 years. In the sweltering December heat, he dug a hole, the size of a grave, for a Melicope Blush, an Australian native, which flowers directly from its trunk and branches. He obviously knew what he was doing, because the tree is thriving. On Sunday morning, after the service we will officially recognize Mark and Julie’s contribution with the placement of a beautiful handmade plaque, designed and made by Tracy and mounted on stone by Murray, at the base of the tree.
Please join us around the tree, which is in front of the columbarium, before heading to the hall for morning tea.
