From the moment we are born, we are aging—and every stage of life has something to learn, something to give, and something to receive. Yet our culture often separates the generations, celebrates youth, fears growing old, and prizes independence over dependence.

Join us for our upcoming four-week sermon series, Unlearning Myths About Aging: For Every Stage of Life.

Whether you are young, old, or somewhere in between, we’ll explore what God teaches us about time, weakness, wisdom, and why we need one another across the generations.

Coming up at our 10:30 and 1:30 services

13 Sept: Psalm 90
“We’re only young once” /
“Age is just a number”

20 Sept: 2 Corinthians 12:6–10
Independence is maturity /
Dependence makes me a burden

27 Sept: Titus 2:1-10
Wisdom belongs to the young /
Elders are obsolete or irrelevant

4 Oct: Ecclesiastes 7:1–12
“I want to be forever young” /
Nothing good is gained through growing old

A beautiful reminder from Explore Faith Week, where hundreds from South Asian communities across Western Sydney gathered over food, music and questions to explore who Jesus is. Praise God for a gospel that truly is for all nations.

The Archbishop of Sydney has shared this prayer for Nepal and Tibet…

Sovereign Lord and heavenly Father, in whose hands are life and death, Our hearts ache for the families waiting for news of loved ones caught in the Nepal-Tibet flash floods.

Preserve life, O Lord. May many of the missing be found safe and returned to their homes. Grant strength, endurance and skill to emergency workers and search teams. May they reach many who are still alive.

We pray especially for Australian tourists caught up in this disaster, and for Nepali Australians with loved ones in the affected areas. In the midst of uncertainty, grant them courage. Be their refuge and strength in this time of distress and sorrow, O Lord. Amen.
