Today, members of our Parish Youth completed the 10km Spit Bridge coastal walk to Manly. With many scenic views at every turn, we realised the importance of being out and about exploring the beautiful creation God has created for us to experience during our time on Earth. It leaves us thinking to ourselves, “if the Planet we are living in is this beautiful, imagine heaven ”.

Also, a special mention to Melanie Roberts for being a good sport, finished the 10km walk in jeans and Air Maxes on (The most Doonside thing ever but I am so proud😂) Knees hurting but it did not stop her from finishing strong together with the rest, What a legend!!

We made a poster/flyer for our youth!!!! Please scan the QR code and tell us what you want to do during our youth meetings and outings. We shall try to include the activities in our future and upcoming events!!!!

Thank you to Kalolo Ahovesi Chelsie Uthayakumar Felicity Rodricks and Senora Bhundoo for their amazing work on the poster. (Ngl this is easily the hardest I've ever worked on something in my life, even though the others did most of the hard work 😂).
Hopefully, we can get it out to others who will want to join us in the future.

Lifted Live x WYD was such a great experience to remember! We were able to talk to some new potential members that we would love to welcome to SJV Youth, and we got to experience worship in a new way with Father Rob Galea! It was a great night to have with our youth members and the rest of the catholic youth in Parra!

Catholic Youth Parramatta (Cyp Parramatta) is hosting an amazing night on Thursday the 18th of August and has invited us to join in on the fun night ahead!

We can look forward to a night of adoration, talks and a performance from Father Rob Galea! They also plan to launch WYD for next year on the day, so all the more reason to come and be excited about it!

So let's be there to support our friends at CYP, make new friends across the diocese and rep good ol' Doonie!

Cleaning up our new Home!!!!
Another photo dump/album (sorry guys, will post photos soon after the meetings from now on, I promise).

We really smashed out the cleaning in about an hour and a half. Just as my mum says "MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!" (Usually because my sibling doesn't do any work around the house and definitely not because of me 😅). Which proved to be true after a hard job was made so easy thanks to everyone that turned up!!

We also played a really great game of Ultimate Frisbee and ofc Table Tennis (Please keep an eye out for Felicity, Faustina and Siren as I'm sure they will be playing for Australia soon). Also keep an eye out for Kalolo, Gerardo and Bradley, doubt they could even see the ball with all their missed shots (they may need to go to Specsavers honestly 😩😩)

Hey guys, late album post/photo dump. Wanted to share some of the great experiences we had together.

We played a great game of two truths and a lie to introduce ourselves (Which we slyly added to entice everyone to go to confession for lying). A game called teeth, which was unanimously decided not to play again, cus we just couldn't stop laughing at people trying to talk without showing their teeth 😂😂.

We also watched Father Stu (a really great movie about a boxer who finds his faith in God and becomes a priest), with Pizza and popcorn!!

Movie night was a success! Thank you to everyone who came, and hope to see you again at the next event. The main highlights were games, pizza, sharing faith experiences, the movie, Father Stu and of course the popcorn machine! Stay tuned for more very soon!
