We need people who will care for us, encourage us, work with us, and pray for us. And God in His goodness has placed us right here, together, in all our imperfections.

What you've learned, someone else hasn't yet. Where one person is struggling, another is celebrating. That's why we need each other.

Where is God in your 9 to 5?⁣

Last Sunday, JD asked us to think about how God actually answers the prayer, "give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11 ESV). Not manna falling from heaven like it did for Israel in the wilderness. Through the farmer who grew it. The truck driver who delivered it. The baker who made it. The checkout worker at Woolies who handed it to you.⁣
⁣
Martin Luther called this the masks of God, His way of loving and providing for the world through your work.⁣
⁣
We know work can feel repetitive, even pointless some weeks. But none of it is wasted. Keep showing up. Keep doing it well. Someone is experiencing the kingdom of God through you.
