What do we leave behind when we follow Jesus?
What does it look like to put on a whole new way of life?

This Sunday, we continue our *One But Many* series through Ephesians with Ephesians 4:17–5:14 — a call to leave darkness behind and walk as children of light.

We’ll also keep praying our *Impossible Prayers*, trusting the God who makes a way where there seems to be none.

Because with God, “impossible” is never the end of the story.

Join us this Sunday. Bring your faith, your questions, your hopes, and your impossible prayers.

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week. The 2026 theme is "All In", a phrase we know well at DCC.

Reconciliation begins with loving our neighbour. 🌿

“Meet Your Neighbours Day” is a beautiful opportunity to connect with local families, share conversation, and build community together.

We’d love to encourage our church family to come along!

📍 Murnong Community Centre
🗓 Sunday 31 May
⏰ 1pm–3pm

Enjoy games, tea & coffee, fun activities and snacks while getting to know others in our neighbourhood.

As followers of Jesus, we believe community matters — and sometimes the simplest conversations can become meaningful connections. Why not invite a friend or neighbour to come with you?

We hope to see you there 💚

From discovering our unique APEST gifts to taking next steps at our Connection Lunch, Sunday was full of encouragement, conversation, and community. 🐑✨

And yes… no sheep were harmed in the making of this post. Just thoroughly patted. 😄

We love seeing people grow in their calling and find their place in the life of DCC. 💛

This Sunday, we continue our One But Many series as we journey through Ephesians 4:1–16 — Unity in Action. 🙌

As one church family, we’ll keep bringing our Impossible Prayers before our God of infinitely more, believing He can do far beyond what we ask or imagine. ✨🙏

After the service, stick around for our Connection Lunch kicking off at 12pm in Whittlesea — a great chance to share a meal, meet new people and build community together. 🍽️💛

National Volunteers Week | 18–24 May 💛

This week, we celebrate our incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and care to serve our church and community. Whether you help in kids church or youth, lead worship, welcome people through the door, extend the table through hospitality, offer leadership, or simply show up with the ministry of presence — thank you.

Beyond what you do, we are grateful for you!

To honour and celebrate our volunteers, Whittlesea Council are hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Event and you're invited:

📍 Thursday 21 May
☀️ 10am–12pm
Murnong Community Centre

Enjoy morning/afternoon tea, a wellbeing experience, and a “Call, Push, Shock” presentation by Ambulance Victoria on how to use a defibrillator.

Bookings are essential: https://www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/Things-to-see-and-do/Events/Events-calendar/Honour-Celebrate-and-Inspire-Donnybrook

Thank you for helping make our community a place of hope, care and connection. 💚

On Sunday, we launched our Impossible Prayers. 🙏

As a church, we’re believing that God still does infinitely more than we could ask or imagine. Whatever feels impossible right now — bring it to Him.

If you’d like to share an impossible prayer request confidentially with our Leadership Team to be prayed for, you can do so here:

This Sunday we’re continuing our One But Many series as we journey through Ephesians 3. 🙏✨

We’re also beginning 3 weeks of Impossible Prayers leading up to Impossible Sunday on 7 June — a time where we’ll share stories of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Is there an impossible prayer on your heart? Bring it to God this Sunday. Nothing is beyond His power.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20 NLT

If you’re reading this, chances are you have access to the Bible in your own language — maybe even in dozens of translations. 📖✨

Today, we’re praying for mission and Bible translation organisations working to make God’s Word accessible to every people group around the world. 🌏🙏🏻

We especially lift up Wycliffe Bible Translators, who we’re proud to partner with in this important work of helping all nations encounter Jesus through Scripture.
