The establishment of the project at Saora Bible College began in 2009 and has been ongoing since.This mission work was established in 2004 to assist the South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC) to build their infrastructure following a period of ethnic instability, within the Solomon Islands. Our main goal is to continue to provide support and funding for the various building projects they require i
n the service of Christ. In partnership with the Lifepointe Baptist Church, the friends of SSEC continue to organise mission trips to assist with meeting the goals of the South Sea Evangelical Church. Since the beginning of the mission in 2004 the projects we have completed include repairs to the Auki Transit house along with the transit house in Kira, Kira on the Island of San Cristobal.We started the footings for the print shop and these were completed by the SSEC head office, who finished the project. At the same time we were able to get some repairs done to the Honiara transit house as well. The order of the projects has been as follows:
2009- Toilet block completed
2010/2011- Cottages built (8)
2012- Power supplied to buildings
2013- Library begun and completed. Transit house begun.
2014- Transit house completed and chicken farm started. In August a second mission trip cut down trees in preparation for building of classrooms in 2015. Future fundraising continues the progress of building upon the Bible College in line with the plans laid out by the South Sea Evangelical Church..
