Islamic Society of Manly Warringah manages the only masjid (mosque) in Sydney Northern Beaches district. Dee Why is part of northern coastal suburbs of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales – Australia, located near the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It all started by some muslim families after the surge of migration from Indonesia in the late 80s. The community had to rent a church hall for weekly

Friday prayer while other Islamic activities were regularly held house to house. Teachings are based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, following closely the understanding of the pious predecessors (Salafus Saliheen). The Masjid directs most of its efforts towards lessons, lectures, seminars and educational circles.
