The Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread
12 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, 2 “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. 3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb[a] for his family, one for each household. 4 If any household is too small for a whole lamb, they must share one with their nearest neighbor, having taken into account the number of people there are. You are to determine the amount of lamb needed in accordance with what each person will eat. 5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight. 7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. 8 That same night they are to eat the meat roasted over the fire, along with bitter herbs, and bread made without yeast. 9 Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire—with the head, legs and internal organs. 10 Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it. 11 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover.

BR Ps 125:1-5 What is your world view
As we consider the rest of our time on earth and beyond that – what do you anticipate? The end result I suggest depends on your world view? So how do you see the world around us the spiritual as well as the physical and also the cosmos. What is your world view that is an important question with eternal consequences? Do you think that the older we get time seems to get faster with each passing year and the New Year seems to appear so quickly it is a reminder of the passing of time that the older we get it seems to me the more quickly it seems to pass. But whether or not you feel that way time does rolls on and you can’t hold it back - and unless there is a crisis we go about our ordinary tasks – mostly our lives -with except for a few exceptionally special or critical events highs or lows are lived in a way that is common to all humans and as a rule our lives are lived mostly through unimportant occurrences – but at the end of this life we will discover how God assesses our lives and his record will show that each believer has done an amazing work. There are two ways to view the world. One is the Christian understanding. The other was clearly expressed by the Atheist professor of philosophy at Columbia university Irwin Edman in this way “Life is a brief bright moment between two oblivions of darkness. That lighted interval is ours to make the most of.”
We will explore this a little today.

We will looking into us being a living sacrifice and pleasing to God and a few more important points Paul brings to our attention, as a matter of urgency.

Four Qualities of King David’s Worship
Over the years the following question has bothered me and I know I have raised it a few times during the course of my ministry.
The question is this – Why is the Church in the West not having as great an impact on reaching the un-churched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the Church in the third World?
There is no simple or definitive answer but this morning I want to explore some options. If I had a whiteboard and called for answers, I wonder what you might reply?
This morning I want to point out four qualities of King David’s worship, primarily as seen in the Psalms he is credited as writing.
