SOLEMNITY OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI: Our parish gathered for a Holy Hour and Eucharistic Procession around the church before the Holy Mass. It was a deeply prayerful and reflective experience, drawing our hearts closer to Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

The reverent silence, prayers, hymns, and devotion of the faithful created a profound atmosphere of worship and thanksgiving. It was both an exciting and meaningful celebration, uniting young and old in a common expression of love for the Eucharistic Lord.

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi reminds us that the Eucharist is the heart of our Christian life. May this beautiful celebration inspire us to deepen our devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and to become, like Christ, a gift generously shared for others.

PARISH CONVERSATION

Last Saturday, our parish community gathered for a Parish Conversation in preparation for the upcoming Diocesan Assembly. It was a grace-filled occasion that brought together parishioners from various age groups and backgrounds, reflecting the richness and diversity of our faith community.

The conversation was marked by openness, honesty, and deep listening. Participants generously shared their experiences, hopes, challenges, and dreams for the Church. There was a genuine spirit of respect and attentiveness as people listened to one another, recognizing that every voice has value and contributes to the life and mission of our parish.

What stood out most was the sense of hope that emerged throughout the gathering. While acknowledging the realities and challenges facing the Church today, participants expressed a strong desire to build a vibrant, welcoming, and mission-focused community. Many spoke of the importance of nurturing faith across generations, strengthening relationships, reaching out to those on the margins, and creating opportunities for greater participation in parish life.

As we continue our journey in the parish towards the Diocesan Assembly, we carry with us the insights, hopes, and aspirations shared during this conversation. We look forward with confidence and hope, trusting that God is leading our parish and our diocese into a future filled with promise and renewed mission.

Please find attached your weekly bulletin, this week we once again have a lot going on however two items in particular are quite important.

1 . Parish Conversation – This Saturday at 9 AM, we invite all parishioners to join an important conversation as we prepare for the Diocesan Assembly. Your input is vital in reflecting on our achievements over the past few years, identifying where we can flourish even more, and determining how the Diocese can best support our future plans. Every voice matters—your participation will help us create a detailed and impactful report to the Diocese. Let’s come together to shape the future of our parish!

2. This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Corpus Christi.
Corpus Christi is a meaningful celebration that highlights the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, a central aspect of the Catholic faith. While Holy Thursday (Today) focuses on the Last Supper, Corpus Christi invites us to joyfully celebrate the spiritual nourishment Christ offers.
It reaffirms our belief that the bread and wine become the actual Body and Blood of Christ, strengthening our connection to Him and to each other in faith. Please join us at 7:30am on Sunday 7th June for Holy Hour and the procession followed by our 8:30am Mass.

3.Community Pantry is this weekend, please donate wintry items as we move into the cold season. If you would like an update on the people and families we have been helping please feel free to chat with Barb or Fr. You may be surprised at the amount of people your donations are helping.

4. Parish/Community morning tea – This Sunday, bring a plate to share and enjoy a lovely warm coffee/tea with fellow parishioners after the Mass.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend, stay warm and blessed.
