World Youth Day 2027: Expressions of Interest Now Open

World Youth Day will take place in Seoul, South Korea, in August 2027, and I am preparing to take a group of young adults from the Diocese of Darwin on this special journey.

I have attended four World Youth Days as a chaplain and have seen firsthand the lasting impact these gatherings can have. For many young people, World Youth Day has strengthened faith, inspired vocations, formed lifelong friendships, and even brought future husbands and wives together.

Young adults interested in joining our diocesan group must be 18 years old by the end of July 2027 and willing to take part in preparation sessions beginning this August.

This preparation will be an important part of the pilgrimage, helping participants grow in faith, build community, and prepare well for the experience ahead.

Expressions of interest are now open. Please follow the link to register your interest and share this opportunity with other young adults who may feel called to take part.

Parishes will also be invited to help support some participants financially, with more information to come.
