It was a beautiful Easter dawn in Darwin this morning. A new beginning full of hope and possibilities. As we considered what we might do with the Easter story? How we night share it with others? we sang ancient and modern songs, prayed, and share breakfast together with our friends and neighbours from our surrounds and Karama Indonesian Uniting Church. And it wouldn’t be Easter morning without a successful Easter 🪺 hunt. The peace of God in Christ be with you all.

Thanks everyone for making our march to the pedestrian crossing on Palm Sunday a success and helping to share our story.

As the light fades and the meal has ended on this Maundy Thursday, the tragic events of Good Friday are close.
Nightcliff Uniting Church invites you to join us at 10am tomorrow (Friday)for a service of readings and reflection, listening again to a story that changed the world forever, that is so important to many faith traditions and that offers a gift of life and love to all. Hope you can come. 🙏🏾

Along with our usual Sunday services we will be gathering at 10am on Christmas Day - please feel very welcome to join us in celebrating Jesus’ birth 🌟

(image from https://wewhothirst.com/historically-accurate-nativity-set/ - come along to see our varyingly accurate felt renditions of the Nativity Scene, and to add a star to the Christmas tree we have decorated with our prayers this Advent season 💛)

We have cancelled all of our usual activities (Mulch Pit, op shop, Frilly’s and Sunday worship) this weekend in the interests of everyone’s safety and wellbeing - please stay home and off the roads as advised. We are holding all of the communities in Tropical Cyclone Fina’s path in our prayers, and hope everyone stays safe and well as the storm travels through. If needed (phone lines allowing) you can contact our minister Felicity on 0412 575 635.
