Spring has sprung, with longer day lights and warmer weather, it certainly uplifting for the spirit.
Looking back the Winter months. A very special thanks to our donors, parishioners, and most especially the St. St Fiacre's Catholic Primary School Leichhardt community (Staff, Parents and Students) for the generous donations of food items and winter gears, which were very much appreciated by the brothers and sisters in Christ we served at the Friars' Van.
Despite a mild winter overall, there were some wet, windy and cold days and nights, which were quite a challenge to the brothers and sisters who had to do it rough and tough without proper roofs over their heads or shelters.
The Friars and Volunteers have been continuing our ministry of service, providing warm/cool drinks, little sweets, and bread (sweet/savory/plain) to the brothers and sisters in Christ who come to the Friars' Van. We accompany them and avail ourselves to engage with them through our greetings, listening, sharing conversations as a mean of valuing their presence and dignity as person, a brother and sister, a child of God who is the Father to us all.
