We are so thankful to God for the community he’s built at Rough Edges over 30 years! And we had a great time celebrating last night 🥳 ❤️

Rough Edges & Banksia Women are at the heart of our ministry and mission in Darlinghurst, Kings Cross, and surrounds. We want to extend the welcome of Christ to all who call this place home, whether they find themselves in the centre or on the margins.

Our heart is that together we would all know the truth, beauty, and goodness of Jesus.

We are delighted to announce that Luke Graham will be joining us as our new kids minster in 2027! 🎉 Luke is coming to us from St Paul's Canterbury, where he has been the kids and youth minister for the last seven years.

Kids are deeply important to the life of our church, and we long to see them know, love, and become more like Jesus. We can't wait to see what God does among our kids and our wider church family through Luke's ministry 🙏

We are so excited to be celebrating the 30th birthday of Rough Edges on Friday. Roughies has been such a vital part of our presence in the community over these decades—a ministry we've received as much as a ministry we've given. Join us to give thanks to God for what he's done, and to ask him to keep working!

Please join us this Friday, 23rd October, for a Service of Thanksgiving for 30 years of Rough Edges.

If you've ever walked past, joined us as a patron, volunteered on our team, supported us financially or admired the work of Rough Edges from afar, this evening is for you. 30 years is a long time for the doors to stay open. It's happened because people chose to show up. We want to celebrate and thank those people, and dream of the next 30 years of Rough Edges with people who are passionate about the mission.

We're seeking an Assistant Minister (Children’s Ministry) to lead and develop our children’s ministries so that children grow in their own deep and independent love for Jesus, families are supported in their discipleship, joyful and skilled leaders are raised up, and local families are increasingly welcomed into our church and into Christian faith.

The parish of Darlinghurst is an exciting place, full of vitality and diversity, and with a bunch of families with young kids and great schools. This is an exciting opportunity to build a children's ministry with an ongoing impact for the kingdom for many years to come.
