**Who is like God? 🙏👑**

Today we celebrate the **Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary**, the birthday of the young woman who said “yes” to God and changed the course of history. 🌹

Mary reminds us that holiness is not about being perfect, popular, or successful. It is about trusting God, even when the future is uncertain. As young people, we face many choices, pressures, and distractions, but Mary's life shows us that true joy comes from putting God first.

On this special day, let us thank God for the gift of our Mother Mary and ask her to guide us closer to Jesus. May her humility, courage, and faith inspire us to become the saints God is calling us to be.

Dear Mother, today we celebrate your encounter with He who divine. Please intercede for us your children.

Prayer to Mary, Assumed into Heaven

O Immaculate Mary, Assumed into heaven,

you who are most blessed in the vision of God:

of God the Father who exalted you among all creatures,

of God the Son who willed that you bear Him as your Son and that you should be His Mother,

of God the Holy Spirit who accomplished the human conception of the Savior in you.

O Mary, most pure

O Mary, most sweet and beautiful

O Mary, strong and thoughtful woman

O Mary, poor and sorrowful

O Mary, virgin and mother

woman very human like Eve, more than Eve.

You are near to God by your grace and by your privileges

in your mysteries

in your mission, in your glory.

O Mary, assumed into the glory of Christ

in the complete and transfigured perfection of our human nature.

O Mary, gate of heaven

mirror of divine light

Who is like God?
Today, we celebrate a true pioneer of faith and compassion in Australia: Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop (1842–1909).
As our first canonized saint, Mary's life was a testament to courage, trust, and an unwavering commitment to serving those on the margins. Her work to provide education for poor and rural children, founding the Sisters of Saint Joseph, created a ripple effect of hope that continues to this day.
A Thought to Carry with You Today:
One of Mary's most profound and challenging calls was:
> "Never see a need and do nothing to help."

This simple phrase is a powerful reminder that our faith is not passive. It calls us to have eyes that are open to the struggles of others and a heart that is ready to act. It challenges us to be part of the solution, not just a witness to the problem.
Let us reflect:
* Whose need might I have seen recently and overlooked?
* What small act of charity or kindness can I do today to ease someone else's cross?
On this Feast of St Mary MacKillop, let her example of courageous love inspire us.
Prayer:
St Mary of the Cross, pray for us, that we may have the courage to trust in God's providence and the love to serve our neighbors with a truly generous heart. Amen. 🙏💙
