SECOND SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
ALL SAINTS OF RUSSIA

On the Second Sunday after Pentecost, the Church commemorates all the Saints who shone forth in the land of Russia. From the holy princes and hierarchs to the monks, martyrs, fools-for-Christ, and righteous laypeople, these saints bear witness to the transforming power of the Gospel across many centuries. Their lives remind us that holiness is not confined to one age or place but is the calling of every Christian. Through their prayers and example, may we be strengthened to remain faithful to Christ in our own time and circumstances.

ST MARY’S ORTHODOX CHURCH, DARDANUP
Weekly Schedule
Saturday 6 June – Sunday 7 June 2026

FIRST SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
FEAST OF ALL SAINTS

The Sunday of All Saints reminds us that the Holy Spirit, poured out upon the Church at Pentecost, continues His work in every generation. The saints are the fruit of that work. They were ordinary people who responded to God’s grace with faith, repentance, and perseverance. Their example encourages us to continue our own journey towards Christ, trusting that holiness is possible through the life of the Church.

Sunday Fifth Sunday of Pascha

This Sunday we remember the Samaritan Woman, Saint Photini, who met Christ at Jacob’s Well. The Lord revealed Himself to her as the Living Water, calling her from a life of thirst and confusion into truth, worship, and eternal life.

Her encounter with Christ reminds us that no person is forgotten by God, and that true healing begins when the heart turns toward Him.

This Sunday also falls on Mother’s Day.
We give thanks to God for our mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and all the women who have cared for us with love, sacrifice, and faithfulness. May the Lord strengthen and bless them.

After the Divine Liturgy, please join us under the oak tree for fellowship. Bring a chair if you can.

God bless.
