Young people from across the Diocese of Wollongong are invited to join the diocesan pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea, journeying together under the theme Pilgrimage of Peace.

In a world longing for peace, this pilgrimage will be a chance to walk together in faith, encounter Christ, and be strengthened in hope alongside young Catholics from across the world.

The journey will include:

โ€ข A South Korea tour before WYD week, visiting significant Catholic sites connected to the Korean martyrs

โ€ข World Youth Day in Seoul from 3โ€“8 August 2027

โ€ข A post-WYD retreat before returning home

Pilgrims will be led by Fr James Arblaster, Assistant Priest at St Michaelโ€™s Nowra, and Arnie Hurdoyal, Diocesan Youth & Young Adult Coordinator.

VINNIES WINTER APPEAL - The St Vincent de Paul Society are conducting our Annual Winter Appeal, in the form of a BUCKET COLLECTION on the weekend of 30th & 31st of MAY. We are also looking for donations of blankets, jackets and jumpers to support those in need in our area. Donations can be left at the Piety shop in the foyer of the Church. ๐ŸฅงPIE DRIVE๐Ÿฅง Our Pie Drive for 2026 has kicked off!!!! Donโ€™t forget to pick up your order form this week for our Pie Drive. Orders close on Sunday 12th July and pies are being delivered on Friday 14th of August (between 1pm and 4pm).
Correct payment can be placed in the box in the foyer or money can be transferred electronically into the fundraising account on the form.
All proceeds raised will go towards parish activities and equipment. Pies and cakes are made by Queen Street Bakery. Thank you for your support!!

Whether you walk the full two days, join for part of the journey, or come simply for the liturgies, your presence and prayers are a powerful witness.

From Kiama to Culburra, pilgrims are invited to walk, pray, and witness together across two days, with the option to join all or part of the journey, or simply take part in the liturgies.

For 15 years, this pilgrimage has been faithfully organised by Sue Hill and Gabriella de Battista, in collaboration with Fr Chris Roberts, with the support of many dedicated families, individuals, and religious. We hope this becomes a well-known and significant eventโ€”drawing more people into this mission of life and mercy.

St Therese Parish West Wollongong is running Youth Alpha. Youth Alpha is a fun, interactive way for high school aged youth to explore the deeper questions of life and faith together. There will be games, a meal, engaging and fun video content and a chance to chat about life together in a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can ask anything, or just listen. It will run on Fridays 7pm to 9pm from 1st May, during Term 2. There is a capacity limit so register as soon as you can and come and see if you like it!
