Reflections: 1 Corinthians 16:14

This scripture feels almost self-explanatory. It is a beautiful reminder of something we can all strive towards ensuring there is intention behind our actions and in the version of ourselves we choose to bring into the world each day.

One thing that stood out in reflection was the importance of extending that same love inward, as much as we offer it outward. In caring for others, we can sometimes forget to show ourselves the same compassion and kindness. Yet we are also worthy of that love.

May we continue to lead with love in our words, our actions, and in the way we care for both others and ourselves. 💛

This week, we're shining a spotlight on our valued partnership with Orange Sky Australia .

Every Tuesday from 12pm, Orange Sky provides free mobile laundry services for our community, offering a practical service that has been incredibly well utilised and appreciated.

Access to clean clothes is something many people rely on every day, and we're proud to work alongside Orange Sky to help make that support available to those who need it.

A heartfelt thank you to the Orange Sky Australia volunteers for the time and care they bring to our community each week.

In the wider context, Paul speaks to the importance of striving to live in a way that is more Christ-like, and the transformative impact this can have on our lives. Through reflection, growth, and faith, we are encouraged to continue developing into the people God calls us to be.

What resonates strongly within these words is the importance of healthy reflection and the ongoing aspiration to grow and improve. At the same time, we are reminded to walk alongside one another with humility, never placing ourselves above others, as we are all continuing through our own journey of growth and faith together.

This time of year is our main fundraising opportunity as we raise money for our Red Shield Appeal.

All money raised goes back into our community, providing a space where people can come and seek assistance, have a coffee and a toastie, sit, watch TV, and have a chat.

As we find it hard to get out and physically knock on doors, here's an opportunity to do that virtually with our Digital Door Knock - donate, join our team, or build your own team with your family, friends, workmates, or sporting team to raise money for The Red Shield Appeal.

Be the hope people need!
