Settlement is this Friday. Less than $100,000 left out of our $175,000 target.

This is it. After months of fundraising, after a dinner where over 300 of us showed up, after every donation big and small, we are down to the final stretch.

Friday the 28th of August is our settlement date on the property at 10 Hopkins Street. That is the deadline. There is no extension.

Less than $100,000 out of our $175,000 target now stands between our community and a mosque that can finally serve the numbers we have grown into. More space for Jummah. More room in our classes. Somewhere for our youth programs to actually fit.

Thirty five years this mosque has been here for us. This week is when we are here for it.

Alhamdulillah, our community keeps moving this forward. We were at $130,000, and now we are down to $103,000.

But settlement is on the 28th of August. That is one week away.

Thirty five years in Dandenong. This mosque has been there for us through Jummah, through Ramadan, through our weddings and our janazahs, through the classes that shaped our kids. Now it needs all of us, and it needs us this week.

We are close enough to see the finish line. What happens next is up to all of us.

$130,000 to go.

Alhamdulillah, since our fundraising dinner our community has already closed part of the gap. We started this final stretch needing $175,000, and now we are down to $130,000.

That is $45,000 raised in a short space of time, entirely off the back of people who care about this mosque and what it has given them.

We have until the 28th of August, our settlement date, to raise the rest and secure the property at 10 Hopkins Street.

Thirty five years in Dandenong. Thousands of prayers, classes, marriages and janazahs. This mosque has been there for us at every stage of life, and now it needs all of us.

Over 300 of us came together for our mosque.

On the 31st of July, our community gathered for the Emir Sultan Mosque Fundraising Dinner, and the support in that room was something none of us will forget. People gave generously, bid on the night, and stood behind this project in a way that reminded us all exactly why this place matters.

Alhamdulillah, we reached part of our goal. But we’re not there yet.

We still need $175,000 by the 28th of August to secure the property at 10 Hopkins Street.

That is our settlement date. There is no extension, and no second chance at it.

If you have already given, may Allah accept it from you. If you haven’t yet, this is the moment.

Every one of us has a part to play, and every contribution counts, no matter the size.

A night we won’t forget.

Friday 31st July brought our community together under one roof for the Emir Sultan Mosque Fundraising Dinner, and the turnout said everything about what this place means to us.

Familiar faces, families who have been part of this mosque for decades, and young people who are only just beginning their journey here. Sitting in the same room, giving towards the same goal.

Thank you to everyone who attended, bid on the night, donated, volunteered, and helped make it happen. Thank you to our guests and to every person who has supported this campaign from the beginning.

Alhamdulillah, we are now only $175,000 away from the amount needed for our property purchase at 10 Hopkins Street, with settlement on 28 August.

We are close. Let’s finish this together.

The room was full of people who have grown up here, raised families here, and want to see this place serve the next generation the same way it served us. That is what made the night what it was.
