He did not call you blessed because you will never feel weak, never feel afraid, or never carry a burden too heavy to bear. He did not mean blessing equals perfect health, endless wealth, or a trouble-free life. He said — God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. Think of David: anointed as a boy, yet spent years running for his life. He hid in caves, cried out in despair, waited and waited while his enemies sat on the throne. He was called blessed and chosen — yet he suffered, wept, and waited a very long time. But God was preparing him. The years of hiding were not years of being forgotten — they were years of being shaped into the king God knew he could become.

True blessing is not found in reaching your dreams quickly. It is found in the work God does in your heart while you wait. It is found in peace that humbly trusts His timing, in strength that grows while you are hidden, in grace that sustains you through every season of preparation. You are called blessed not because your life is easy — but because He is shaping you, keeping you, and preparing something far greater than you can imagine. That is the blessing He promised, and it will never fade away.

Maybe you’re looking at your life and thinking:

“I’m not qualified enough.”

“I don’t have enough resources.”

“I’m not talented enough.”

“I don’t know enough.”

“What difference could someone like me possibly make?”

But God has never depended on human perfection to accomplish divine purpose.

He used a shepherd to confront a giant.

A reluctant leader to confront Pharaoh.

A young boy’s lunch to feed thousands.

Ordinary fishermen to carry the Gospel.

The question isn’t always, “Do I have enough?”

The question is:

“Am I willing to place what I have in God’s hands?”

Because what you cannot accomplish alone, God can accomplish through you.

But surrender means giving Him more than your gifts.

Give Him your plans.

Give Him your ambitions.

Give Him your timeline.

Give Him your fears.

Give Him your reputation.

Give Him your future.

Give Him your whole heart.

And then trust Him enough to follow wherever He leads.

For nothing will be impossible with God. — Luke 1:37

Oh, to love and be loved by a God who has seen me through all of my seasons, and still chooses to call me His.

I haven’t been the most faithful, or the most hopeful, or the most kind, but His love does not depend on my mood or my feelings. His love is constant. He loves because He is love.

Thank You, God, for choosing me again and again and again.

I pray to have a heart that will always choose You, too. 🌷
