A recent visiting speaker to our Sunday service has kindly shared this short video, "Sailing", offering a spiritual lesson and analogy of how, in the midst of our hurried lives and the turmoil around us, we need to pause, be still, be present with God, and unburden ourselves of the strains and stresses of life, the things that drag us down. Thanks Chris.

A short meditation about pausing to take a breath, to let the metaphorical kelp slide off the keel.

In response to the turmoil and uncertainties of the world today, there is a huge increase in personal stress, anxiety and depression. We would all be aware of friends or family, or people within our own sphere of influence who struggle to keep their life batteries charged and the lights on. Being the light for others when their own light is dim is a powerful way of supporting and showing God's love to those who are troubled. Let us Shine as lights!
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This is the real Spirit of Christmas - the reason we celebrate the birth and the mission of Jesus. May we all experience the true spirit of this season by showing love and compassion, to offer healing to the broken-hearted, and to speak for those who have no voice. Love and blessings from all at Pine Rivers.

WELCOME BACK TO PINE RIVERS!
God Willing, we will be resuming our worship 10am at Glenwood Hall this Sunday 19th July, after four months of restricted access. Members and regular visitors have been advised of new protocols to meet the council Covid Safety obligations. Would any intending visitors kindly contact the Secretary on [email protected], so that numbers can be monitored. PLEASE NOTE that we will continue to conduct a Zoom meeting on the 4th Sunday of every month, to accommodate the participation of members and friends who live at a distance. On these Sundays, there will be no meeting at Glenwood. Although our online Zoom meetings have been a great blessing and encouragement during the previous months, we look forward to meeting in person and enjoying sweet fellowship in Jesus.

Our Easter celebrations this year, subdued due to social distancing restrictions required of us, allow for a deeper reflection and contemplation on the wondrous and powerful love of Jesus, and the vibrant message of hope which His resurrection delivers to all. Wishing you all a safe and meaningful Easter, enclosed in the safety of your homes, just like the ancient Passover, which is being celebrated this week. May we find comfort in the Passover story of protection, survival, exodus and freedom. Be blessed in God's presence and faithfulness till we meet face-to-face again.

Dear PR family and friends,
In line with further government restrictions on gatherings in halls announced yesterday, all our Sunday services and group gatherings are suspended from this Sunday until further notice. An email has been sent to all members and regular visitors with information on how to access online services.
Let us continue to pray earnestly, meditate on God's word regularly, and thank Him for the blessings that touch our lives everyday, especially the wonderful hope of peace and salvation in the Kingdom age.
Take care everyone, stay safe, wash your hands, keep in touch and trust that our loving Father will envelop, strengthen and protect us in body. mind and spirit to get through the difficult weeks ahead.
Feel free to share any encouraging words or thoughts to help build our faith and find comfort in His love.
