Last Saturday, 5th September, members of our parish ventured to Mulgoa for the first Corpus Christi Parish Pilgrimage to Mt Schoenstatt, one of the shrines of Schoenstatt, Australia . Our parish pilgrims enjoyed a beautiful day together with the support of our parish priest, Fr Abraham and Sister Olivia from the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary . Our parish has been blessed with three images of the Pilgrim Mother Apostolate that will circulate around families in our parish, and we would like to encourage more families to welcome our Pilgrim Mother into their homes. Please contact the parish office or chat with a representative of the parish women's group if you would like to bring an image to your home.
See parish contact details and office hours in The Net, our parish bulletin, linked in the comments, page 8 includes the current schedule for women's group events, image also included in the comments.

Please download The Net, our parish bulletin for this week, from the link in the comments below this post (Ensure 'All Comments' is selected, links will now be included in comments rather than posts due to changes in Facebook / Meta's handling of posts with live links). We are an active parish, so have your calendars and diaries handy! Don't forget the Bishop's Fathers Day Appeal will take place this weekend (Link also in comments)

Fr Abraham would like to begin visiting parishioners in their homes as part of his pastoral ministry. These visits are an opportunity for him to spend some time with you, get to know you and your family more personally, and hear about your experiences, needs and hopes as members of our parish.
Through these visits, Fr Abraham hopes to deepen his understanding of our parish family and discover how we can better support one another and share our gifts and talents within
the life of our parish. If you would welcome a visit from Fr Abraham, please contact the Parish Office or leave your name and contact details on the sign-up sheet in the foyer. We will then be in touch to arrange a suitable time for the visit. Fr Abraham looks forward to the opportunity to meet with you and spend some time getting to know you and your family more deeply.

We wish a happy and blessed Fathers Day to all the fathers of our parish families and all those who stand in a father's role for us, reflecting the love, strength, generosity, wisdom and mercy that You bless us with as Your Children.

Fathers Day Prayer:
God of Abraham, Moses and Aaron; of Zachary, father of John the Baptist, of Joseph, foster-father of Jesus, listen to our prayer:
Bless all who father and protect new life in any way, these fathers who teach and guide, who encourage and lead.
Invite them to the table of your eternal feast, these fathers who work hard to provide for the life that has been entrusted to them.
Embrace them warmly in the intimacy of your love, these fathers who lift up with strength those who are helpless and dependent.
Bless them today with all good things: with health, with laughter, with joy and with love, with pride in their ‘children’
and with the support of many friends.
May all fathers who have protected and guided the life of others be themselves held securely one day in your strong embrace, there, for all eternity, to rejoice with their families and friends. Amen.

Still images for those who prefer them to reels/slideshows (reel in separate post) 🙂:
A lovely afternoon of reflection, prayer and companionship took place last Sunday afternoon at the church. The session was graciously led by Sr Rita from Mt Schoenstatt and offered an opportunity to reflect on Mary's role as our Pilgrim Mother. Warmest thanks to Sr Rita for joining us yesterday.

Women of all ages are welcome to join our Women's Group, it is not necessary to be able to attend all events. There will be something for everyone. See final image for upcoming events to include in your calendar.

This weekend we pray especially for the people of Nepal affected by the devastating floods and landslides. May God grant eternal rest to those who have lost their lives, comfort to grieving families, and strength and hope to those still awaiting news of loved ones. We pray also for all those involved in the rescue and recovery efforts. Caritas Australia is responding to this crisis, a donation link will be included in the comments.

May God bless you and yours this week and keep you safe and well. Don't forget the three links in comments! 🙂 (Make sure "All Comments" is selected)
