Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, giving thanks for the gift of the Eucharist, where Christ gives us His Body and Blood to nourish and sustain us in faith.

This sacred feast reminds us of the real presence of Jesus; Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, in the consecrated bread and wine, the heart of our Catholic faith.

As the source and summit of Christian life, the Eucharist calls us to deeper love, reverence, and unity in Christ.

May we be strengthened by this gift to serve others with the love of Christ in all we do.

Wishing Corpus Christi Parish, Cranebrook a blessed and happy Feast Day!

On National Sorry Day, the Diocese of Parramatta pauses to remember and honour the Stolen Generations, and the deep sorrow and injustice experienced by First Nations peoples.

We acknowledge First Nations peoples across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, whose culture, resilience, and connection to Country continue to enrich our Church and community.

May we commit ourselves to listening, learning, and walking together in truth, justice, and healing, guided by our Diocesan Pastoral Plan (Resolution 1B).

Let us continue to pray for reconciliation and a future shaped by respect, understanding, and unity.

We join the Diocese of Parramatta on this National Volunteer Week in thanking all who volunteer their time and talents for the benefit of our parish, to enliven our liturgies, to share faith and encourage those on their sacramental journeys, to offer welcome and hospitality, to care in a multitude of ways for the foundations of our community. As we close our Stewardship program, please take some time to read and ponder Fr Abraham's reflection in The Net this week, available athttps://corpuschristi.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/The-Net-17_05_2026.pdf

Please take note of key events coming up in the parish, especially our Parish Feast Day on June 7th, and please support our parish fundraising raffle. All details are in The Net. Also, we are seeking additional volunteers for our Baptism Formation and Children's Liturgy. Please download The Net for information and contact the Parish Office for further details. Thank you for considering these vital ministries.

Please remember all volunteers in our parish and in our wider community in your prayers this week. "Lord Jesus, you taught us that whoever wishes to be great must first be a servant. Bless our volunteers who follow your example by serving their brothers and sisters with love and compassion. Strengthen them in their service, that they may continue to be a source of hope and inspiration to those they encounter." Amen (Adapted from Bishop Caddy's Prayer for National Volunteer Week)

We wish a Happy and Blessed Mothers Day to all those nurturing life and growth in our homes, extended families and communities.
Mothers Day Prayer:
God of Sarah, Ruth and Rebecca;
God of Elizabeth, mother of John;
God of Mary, mother of Jesus: hear our prayer:
Bless all who ‘mother’ and bring new life in any way,
these mothers who teach and guide, who encourage and heal.
Invite them to the table of your eternal feast,
these mothers who feed and nurture the life that has been entrusted to them.
Embrace them warmly in the intimacy of your love,
these mothers who embrace with affection those who are helpless and dependent.
Bless them today with all good things:
with health, with laughter, with joy and with love,
with pride in their 'children' and the support of many friends.
May all who have nurture life in others
be themselves nurtured one day in your strong embrace,
there, for all eternity, to rejoice with their families and friends.
Amen
