A blesséd Easter to you. As we reaffirmed our Baptism commitments, in a packed Anne Jolly Hall, "we are convinced that nothing in life or death, in the world as it is or the world as it shall be, nothing in all creation, can separate us from the love that is God.
Neither war, recession, disease, or suffering, can separate us from God. Love reigns. Love has the final say. Love is victorious."

Thank you to Rosemary for the lovely flower arrangements and Tania for the roses from her garden.

Next Sunday's services will be 9.30 at 413 Mount Barker Road, Bridgewater. And, 10am at 2 Arkaba Road, Aldgate. Church of Epiphany closed while new slate revival is on the go.

We look towards Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified.

Each day of Holy Week seems like an intensification - witnessing again the story leading to Jesus' death. The pain we carry for that time. The pain Jesus carried for us. The good news is he rose again.

Part of Palm Sunday is processing in to church, to mimic the people in the streets of Jerusalem while Jesus rode on a donkey. The people lay down palm branches and garments on the road and shouted "Hosanna" and "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" - Matthew 21.1-11

Part of Andy's sermon reflects "For one to be described as blessed means there is no-one of higher authority on earth, not so much that
they’re above everyone else, but no-one is above them. Others may be blessed, but none are superior.

That’s why we recite that phrase in the Eucharist, then following on with hosanna in the highest.

Hosanna used to mean please save us, but by Jesus’ time, while retaining a sense of that, had also turned into a celebration of salvation from heaven. Being saved means being unrestricted, free from oppression and ultimate demise."

Full sermon is available via email, please contact the parish office if you'd like a copy of Andy's Palm Sunday sermon.

If you're needing something to lift your spirits today, watch this little piece by Jacob Collier called "Something heavy", video clip is live in San Francisco with orchestra and audience. Conducted by Suzie Collier. Just sublime on this overcast Adelaide Hills morning.

In October last year, Jacob world-premiered his orchestral arrangement of Something Heavy in San Francisco, performed with the world's first Audience Symphon...
