Child-Safe

At Corrimal Uniting we aim to have a strong culture of children’s safety. We proudly hold space for our young people to feel safe and included. We work closely within the guidelines of the Child Safe Standards, and the Culture of Safety requirements of the Uniting Church.

Children and young people have many opportunities to grow in our community, in safe and enjoyable ways. These include leading intergenerational services, kids fun nights, youth gatherings, family social gatherings, and other outings.

We welcome all children, youth and families, and thank all adults in our community who are supporting us in ensuring we prioritise the safety of all young people in our care.

Having trouble filling out the census? A bit worried you won't get it sorted by the Wednesday/Thursday deadline? Would you like someone to sit with you and check you are understanding the questions, and filling out the online form correctly?

You can come and join us on Wednesday morning from 10:30-1pm. We'll have online access and computers to use, and a couple of volunteers to help, if needed.

We also have morning tea, and lunch is on from 12pm, so you can join us for that too 🙂

We expect now to be opening again sometime mid-August. Watch this space, and we'll let you know the exact date closer to time.

Thanks again for your patience!

Op Shop Refurb Update

We are nearing the completion of the refurb of our Op Shop. As it goes with refurbs, many things have gone to plan, and a couple have taken more time than we'd hoped.

We thank you for your patience, and apologise for any inconvenience the delays have caused.

Please watch this space for confirmation of re-opening details.

Op Shop: Closed for Renovations
Starting: Friday July 10

We are closing our Op Shop from this Friday, July 10. This will enable us to undertake major works as part of our current renovations.

Thursday July 9 will be our last day of trade before closing, and there are some bargains to be had.

The planned re-opening date is Wednesday, July 29.
We will keep you posted if this changes at all.

We thank you for your understanding and support. These are works that enable us to expand our retail space, and improve back-room facilities. We look forward to being able to better serve you and the wider community in the near-future.

Op Shop/Australia's Biggest Morning Tea/Cancer Council

At our Op Shop we know the value of a good morning tea. Many of us also know personally the struggle many face with cancer, and the need for research funding.

So this year we're participating in the Cancer Council's 'Biggest Morning Tea'. Come and join us, as together we raise funds for this great cause.

Refurb Update

A few weeks back we shared that our Op Shop was beginning a refurb. The work is being done mostly by our wonderful volunteer Maintenance Team, with the help of tradies as required.

When complete, we will have more shop floor space, and a lot more storage space out the back. Part of that has meant moving the kitchenette into the back room.

Here are some pics of some of the work done so far. We're very happy with the progress and the results.

Just to allay fears, there will be no change to our pricing or friendly service, and our shop will remain open for most of this work period.
