Sunday 6.00pm Mass @ Christ the King Graceville

All are invited to the Annual Parish Multicultural Mass at the special time of 9.00am Sunday 13th September at St Joseph’s Church Corinda. Followed by brunch / morning tea in St Joseph’s School Hall. Please bring a plate of your favourite cultural food to share.

Safeguarding Sunday in the Dioceses of Australia. It is a day to pray for all who have experienced abuse or harm, to support their healing, and to renew our commitment to creating communities where every person is welcomed, respected and safe.

In the Gospels, Jesus shows particular care for those who are vulnerable and calls his disciples to do the same. Safeguarding is not simply a policy or procedure; it is a Gospel responsibility that reflects the dignity of every person and our shared commitment to love one another as Christ has loved us.

As we celebrate today, let us pray for all who continue to journey towards healing, give thanks for those who serve in safeguarding ministry, and recommit ourselves to building parish communities where trust, compassion and care are evident in all we do.

Recently our parish held two wonderful celebrations to bless and install Indigenous artworks in St Joseph's Church Corinda and Christ the King Church Graceville as part of our parish Reconciliation Action Plan.

We had wonderful parish celebrations for the Feast of Pentecost, including two School Sponsored Masses - St Joseph's Corinda and also Christ the King Graceville. Thank you to everyone for our uplifting, Spirit-filled celebrations. Come O Come Holy Spirit!

Today we celebrate the Feast of one of our parish patrons - Saint Joseph. The original St Joseph's Church Corinda was opened in 1912 and St Joseph's School was founded in 1917. The current church was blessed and opened in 1968. We have a long history of our parish and school communities being under the care and patronage of St Joseph, Spouse of the Virgin Mary and foster Father of our Lord. Happy Saint Joseph's Day everyone! Saint Joseph ~ pray for us!

Thank you to our fabulous Year Six students and parents from St Joseph's Primary School, Corinda who yesterday joined our parish community at the Lent Anointing and Healing Mass. The students celebrated, provided morning tea, served and chatted to our parishioners. What a wonderful morning for all present. We are so grateful to staff members Kim Davis, David Cox and Christine Diamond for all of your work and assistance in making this happen. your presence was a gift to our parish celebration.
