St Stephen's Coorparoo

St Stephen's Coorparoo We're saving a seat for you. Whether you're new to church or have been part of one for many years, we're glad you’re here . . .

Going somewhere new is never the easiest thing to do, so we hope our website ststephenscoorparoo.com helps you learn more about us, and makes that first visit easier. If you are arriving in Brisbane to begin work, study, or retire, you will find many people at your stage of life. When you're ready, we have a Family Service every Sunday at 9.30am where we'd love to say 'G'day' in person. Our 9.30am

Service is designed to be the most inspirational 60 minutes of your week where you’ll encounter vibrant and encouraging music; receive faith-building, inspirational, relevant and Bible-based messages week after week to help you to live a life of purpose, faith and impact. WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME TO CHURCH:

• A relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

• Worship music that is easy to join in with.

• Down to earth teaching from the Bible with practical application.

• Fun and safe groups for kids and teenagers.

• Babies and toddlers area.

• A choice of places to start finding out about Jesus.

• Connect groups to make new friends for singles and couples.

• Opportunities to get involved in helping others. If Sunday mornings are not for you, why not join us for ‘Nite Church’ at 6.30am service. It’s a contemporary service with a younger feel. It features Bible based and relevant talks, contemporary Christian songs and music, relevant discussions and prayer. A key feature of ‘Nite Church’ is that we share a meal together after the service. We see this is part of our Sunday night gathering, and a key opportunity to welcome people and continue building relationships with each other. On the last Sunday of the month it’s pizza night! If you enjoy a more traditional Anglican Prayer Book service with hymns and liturgy; then the 7.30am service may be more for you. Our hope is that whoever you are, whatever you’ve been through, whatever you thought of Church, St. Stephen’s can be a place you call “family”, as you discover God’s purpose for your life and grow in faith. If all of this is a bit new, and coming on a Sunday isn't what you're looking for, we also have Alpha Courses and Connect Groups that people tell us is a great place to start. There’s more to your life than you ever thought - God has a wonderful plan for your life, and a place for you in His family... come and discover it with us! And remember, if you’ve got any questions, just get in touch!

Our kids church also joyfully celebrated Easter Sunday with cake decorating, crafts, games, and an exciting Easter egg hunt.

They even shared the joy beyond their activities, handing out chocolate eggs to the congregation! A sweet reminder of the hope and generosity we celebrate at Easter 🐰🍫🐣

He is risen! ✝️

What a joy it was to celebrate Easter Sunday together with our church family - both familiar faces and those joining us for the first time. Your presence made today so special as we reflected on the hope, love, and new life we have through Jesus.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Whether you’ve been with us for years or just visited today, you are always welcome here💛💙💝

Happy Easter 2026 🐣🐑🙏

Hosanna!

This Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday and commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem marking the start of Holy Week.

Members of our congregation learnt the delicate art of how to make a palm leaf cross.
Aren’t we a clever bunch!

These will be handed out at our services over the weekend 🌱✝️

See you there!

After a few months of quiet we’re grateful to be stepping into a new year and be back on the socials.

We feel refreshed, expectant and ready for all that God has in store for our church family and our community in 2026.

Let’s walk into this season together with hope, faith and joy.

21/11/2025

With tremendous sadness, we share that our beloved Pastor Kesh died suddenly this week. The shock and loss for our community is immense, as is the outpouring of grief from all who knew him.

We are so grateful for the love and care that has been expressed for Catherine and her family, for our church leadership and for each other.

The church will be open from 9am-5pm Saturday for anyone seeking support, prayer or simply to talk and comfort one another.

Services on Sunday will be at 7.30 am, 9.30am and 6.30pm, with Bishop John preaching at all 3 services. Archbishop Jeremy will also be present to support our congregations in the morning. Children’s programs will be available at the 9.30am service.

Psalm 34:18. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
