City South Baptist Church We are a bible believing church in Coorparoo. We strive to be like Jesus. City South Church is a really new church with a really old story to share.

It’s a story that we want to be known by. It’s a compelling one that constantly re-shapes & changes us. It’s the story of God’s unfathomable love for & relentless pursuit of a people for Himself. So it’s more than just an ancient story anchored in a real place and time – it’s actually personal – it’s about a person called Jesus. It’s the story of how Jesus brings us and God together. In this crazy

mixed up world we can’t say we have it all together but we know for certain that God does, and that in amazing ways through His Son Jesus, he includes ordinary people such as you and me. We are so glad it’s not a story telling us to try to deserve God, to please God or even try to find God. Rather it’s one where He comes after us in grace and love and mercy. It’s a great story, and importantly it’s true!

The Lord loves and champions the downtrodden, the weak, the bruised, the discarded and turns them into winners. So, do not be discouraged or disheartened by the injustices around you. Our hearts and prayers go out to those who lost their lives and loved ones, the injured and the traumatised at today's Bondi Beach shooting incident. We give God thanks for everyone who gave of themselves to help, to defend the innocent and to comfort those affected. Life is full of difficulties but our God is sovereign and our hope and trust is in Him cos His faithfulness towards us has been proven time and again. The night may be long sometimes but we are assured that morning will come and His grace is sufficient for us as we cling on to Him. So, like Habakkuk, rejoice and be joyful in the Lord, especially when things aren't going your way. He is faithful.God bless. ☺️🌹❤️
