Our Story

The Institute of Worship has had the joy of resourcing, equipping and supporting the ministry of corporate worship for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific since 2004. It enjoys networking with agencies and congregations of other denominations as well. Under the direction of Dr Lyell Heise, the institute has provided worship training events in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, aimed to equip and train worship leaders. Although now retired from full time ministry, Lyell continues to engage with the worship network, continues with occasional orchestra appointments and worship training events. He regularly teaches a unit in Worship and Communication at the Avondale Seminary at Avondale University College.
