Coomera Baptist Church We are a community of saved sinners rejoicing in the good news of Jesus, meeting 9.30am Sundays. To behold and display this glory of God is why we exist.

At Coomera Baptist Church, we believe the gospel of Jesus means good news for people like us. Sufficient to save the greatest of sinners, powerful to transform the hardest of hearts, and offering every comfort in life and death. We want to invite anyone and everyone to be a part of this.

Promises of God | Sermon is Live!

Assurance must be cultivated for it to grow and flourish in our souls. The primary grounds upon which this happens is the promises of God to us in Christ Jesus. We don't first of all look to ourselves, and our subjective senses, but firstly to Christ and what he has done for us. In him we find objective certainty from a God who never lies. This week we look at both the author of our promises and what the promises are that deliver assurance to us.

**NEW SONG THIS SUNDAY**
We’re going back all the way to 1787 when “How Firm a Foundation” was written. The song points us to assurance from God’s word as we face the trials of life. The first verse begins by exalting the steady foundation for our faith in the word of God. What follows over the next four verses are truths upon truths ministered deep into the soul of believers. Consider how verse 2 leans heavily on Isaiah 41:10 which says:

“Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

We hope this song will build up and bless us as we consider the assurance we have in God.
