Mike Randall - Psalm 24

How unworthy we are to be in God's creation and in His presence. How wrong it is for us to receive all the beauty we have been given, including our very lives, and then neglect to thank or appreciate God for any of it. Worse than that, the Bible says that we are hostile in mind (Romans 8:7; Colossians 1:21) and enemies of God (Romans 5:10).
But God is so loving that even though we are totally unworthy, He desires to bless people with His love and bring us into a loving relationship with Himself. Therefore, He sent the One who is entirely worthy to trade places with us. Jesus alone is worthy to ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in the holy place. He is the One without sin, in whose mouth no deceit was found. Yet we deemed Him unworthy of us and put Him to death. But He willingly submitted both to our sinful desires and to the plan of His Father so that, through His death, we might enter the holy place. Being found in Him, and because of His righteousness alone, we are counted worthy to ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in the holy place.

Are our traditions actually taught by God?

If we are placing more emphasis on our traditions rather than on God then who, or what, are we actually worshiping?

Mike Randall - Matthew 8:23-27

All of us will experience a storm at some point in our lives.
We will all experience suffering, and sometimes these experiences feel like great waves crashing against us. But, unlike non-believers, we have the solution during these difficult times - the knowledge that Christ is with us during the storm. Strengthening us and giving us courage.

Storms don't come because of lack of faith and our faith doesn't stop the storm - it sees us through the storm.

We need to recollect what God has done for us and constantly remind ourselves where our faith lies.

Resurrection Life - Acts 2:42-47

We are called to be devoted to coming to the large gathering and also to gathering in smaller groups so that we can break bread and grow in relationships. The stronger the community, the stronger the church. The greater the community’s love, surely the greater the evangelistic endeavour. People in the world are craving love. God is love, and the church is His representative, inviting the lost to come and know God. The love people should experience in the church ought to be an expression of the love of Jesus for us.

Resurrection Life - Luke 24:50-53 and Acts 1:6-11

On Ascension Day we remember the One who truly does have all power and authority. Forty days after Jesus’ resurrection, He ascended and sat down at the right hand of God, the place of governance and rule. Jesus, the God-man, is seated there, with all things subjected to Him, whether in heaven or on earth. What comfort it is for believers to know that their King is in control of everything. We don’t need to be anxious about the future (Acts 1:7); instead, we’re free to get on with the work of proclaiming to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour.

Mother's Day - Proverbs 31:1-9

The big heart of good mothers wants nothing more than the best for their children. That is what love does. The wisdom of a godly mother points her child to obedience to God’s Word in order to protect their heart from self-indulgent temptations that will cause harm to themselves and others. In fact, mums, having lived self-sacrificially, know the joy of living a life for the benefit of others. So their instruction includes telling their children to use their lives and resources for the good of those who are needy. The essence of their instruction is this: love God and love your neighbour as yourself.

What a beautiful morning was Mother’s Day 2026 at Grace Community Perth! 💐
The mothers of our church had the opportunity to have a pic taken with their kids and also some had pics with their spiritual mothers. 🌻✨
Isaac preached from Proverbs 31:1-9: The words of King Lemuel. An oracle that his mother taught him (v1). We learned that:
- The godly wisdom of a mother is valuable for a king. (v1)
- The heart of a mother is one of constant concern. (v2)
- The godly wisdom of a mother warns against sinful pleasures that harm. (v3)
- The godly wisdom of a mother warns against self-centred indulgence. (v4-5)
- The godly wisdom of a mother teaches care for those perishing and in misery. (v6-7)
- The godly wisdom of a mother teaches advocacy for the poor and needy. (v8-9)
~ Jesus is the godly King we need! ~
