💜 COLAC, LET’S WALK FOR RESPECT! 💜

Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued and respected — in their homes, relationships and community.

This Saturday, our community is invited to come together for the Walk for Respect, an important local event raising awareness about family violence and the role we can all play in building a safer, more respectful community.

🚶 Saturday 24 October
🕥 10:30am – 12:00pm
📍 Memorial Square, Colac
💜 Free event – everyone welcome!

There will be guest speakers, a free sausage sizzle and Bulla ice cream.

A big thank you to the Rotary Club of Colac Otway and all of the other amazing individuals & organisations behind making this event possible and helping keep this important conversation front and centre.

At Colac Salvos, we believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness and respect. We'd love to see our community get behind this initiative.

Because respect matters, and building a safer community is everyone's responsibility.💜

Meet Joy and Val ❤️

Two of the wonderful faces behind our community meals at Colac Salvos.

Week after week, Joy and Val give their time, energy and plenty of care to help create a place where people can come for a meal, a conversation and a warm welcome.

It’s people like these two who make our Centre more than just a place to get some help — they help make it feel like community.

We’re pretty lucky to have them on the team. ❤️

We’re excited to be adding something new at the Colac Salvos Salon 💇‍♀️✨

From Friday 9 October, our hairdresser will now be offering hair washing and hair colouring, alongside our usual haircuts.

🕘 9am–2pm

📍 51–57 Dennis Street, Colac

📅 Bookings are essential

We’re also trying something new to help keep the Salon sustainable. We’re asking everyone who uses the Salon to contribute what they can to help keep it going.
Our aim is to keep good-quality hair care accessible while building something that our community can help sustain together.

If you picked up one of our bags at the Colac Kids Festival, you may have found that one of the QR codes wasn’t scanning properly on the Christmas Cheer material.
We’ve fixed it. ❤️

What a day! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Colac Kids Festival happen — our sponsors and supporters including Fennell West, are-able, Yeowarra Hill, Bluewater and Colac Otway Shire; our entertainers, stallholders, community organisations, schools and local businesses who got behind the day.

A special thank you as well to our incredible Colac Salvos team and volunteers who put in so much work before, during and after the festival to bring it all together.

And most of all, thank you to every family who came along and filled Bluewater with so much life, laughter and fun.

CKF really is a community effort, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part. ❤️

Colac Kids Festival lands at Bluewater Stadium tomorrow from 10am–3pm.

A few things to know:
📍 Bluewater Stadium, 118–134 Hearn St, Colac

💰 Entry by $5 donation per child
❤️ Sponsorship available
🙌 No child will be turned away

Food vans, snacks and treats will also be available to purchase.
