Colac’s Salvation Army has already seen a 30-per-cent rise in members of the community accessing food insecurity support this year, with the organisation prepared to continue providing material aid to thousands of households.

It’s Red Shield Appeal time, and what better way to see what you’re supporting than experiencing it firsthand!

Salvos Studios has done an incredible job capturing a glimpse of what happens at the Centre on Fridays, and we’re so grateful to be able to share it with our community.

The Red Shield Appeal is our biggest fundraiser of the year and provides the primary funding that helps us run programs supporting thousands of people across the Colac region.

If you’re interested in partnering with us or learning more about what we do, we’d love to connect with you. You can visit us at the Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9am–2pm, or contact us on 0484 935 165.

HAPPY VOLUNTEERS WEEK!

This week was National Volunteers Week for 2026.
As most of you know, Our centre relies heavily on our fabulous volunteers.
Without our dedicated Team it would be impossible be to do what we do each day and keep The Centre running smoothly.

Weather it's cooking in the kitchen, cleaning the centre, material aid, property maintenance or one of the 100 other jobs floating around, our incredible Team of volunteers step up and get the job done!
Not only do they donate their time, but they give their heart and soul and show compassion to all who walk in the doors.

So, to all our volunteers we say THANK YOU.
Your dedication to the mission is so appreciated and we are so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people.

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY APPRECIATION POST!

A huge thank you to ALL of The Team here at Colac Salvos. How blessed we are to have such a diverse team of incredible people who bring skills and experience from all walks of life.

They show up with kindness, compassion and understanding every single day no matter the weather and show grace and empathy to all those who walk in our doors.

Without our incredible Team, running our Community Centre simply would not be possible.

Our Team is made up of everyday people (turned heroes) who dedicate their time and open their hearts and we couldn't be more honored to join forces and continue to support the Colac Community! Thank you just doesn't seem enough.
