Sundays are our favourite!
SERMON SNAPSHOT:
Matthew 6:5-7, “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the Synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.”
Main Thought:
Prayer was never meant to be driven by results, but by relationship with God, so let’s not allow disappointment to silence us or distraction to sideline us. Let’s make space for prayer.
Reflection & Response:
1. Where has disappointment in unanswered prayer caused me to pull back from God?
2.What is currently crowding out space for prayer in my life? Am I willing to make changes?
3.Where can I find 5-10min in my week to join together with our church community and create a PRAYERSPACE?
4. What might happen in our church and the wider community if we collectively became more intentional about praying for them?
