Third Sunday of Easter (Year A) 19 April 2026

This week we centre on the Brunswick Moreland Catholic Community’s journey towards becoming Emmaus Parish, inspired by the Gospel of the Road to Emmaus. The theme of walking together through change, recognising Christ’s presence in uncertainty, and moving from encounter to mission is strongly emphasised. Parishioners are invited into active consultation through upcoming amalgamation meetings and shared prayer.

INVITATION TO PARISH MEETINGS
Our Brunswick Moreland Catholic Community continues the journey of building stronger partnerships through the proposed amalgamation of our parishes.

We invite all parishioners to attend one of the upcoming parish meetings, where further information will be shared and consultation will continue. Your presence and voice are important as we move forward together. This is a significant meeting in the final stages of preparing a request to the Archbishop to formally amalgamate our Parishes.

- Sunday 26 April – St Fidelis’ Hall, 2:00 pm
- Tuesday 28 April – St Joseph’s Church, 7:00 pm
- Wednesday 29 April – St Ambrose’s Community Centre, 7:00 pm

Please RSVP by Friday 24 April using the following link:

Building Stronger Partnerships
Proposal that BMCC parishes amalgamate into a single parish.
Our BMCC parishes are entering an exciting new stage in strengthening our partnership. Following the recommendation of our Parish Evangelisation Council and Stewardship Council, we are beginning the process toward formally amalgamating our three parishes into a single parish entity. This reflects the way we have already been working together for several years, supported by shared committees in Education, Outreach, Worship and Hospitality. Over the coming months, we will communicate, consult and invite feedback through newsletters, online updates and parish meetings. Together, we will create a renewed vision and mission for our future as we implement the BMCC Strategy Plan: Opening Hearts, Opening Doors.

Holy Week & Easter at BMCC
As we enter the holiest and most grace‑filled days of the Christian year, we invite you to journey with us through Holy Week and celebrate the joy of Easter across our BMCC parish communities. These days draw us deeply into the mystery of Christ’s love: His passion, death, and triumphant resurrection.

Whether you come every week, haven’t been in a while, or are simply seeking a moment of peace, you are truly welcome. Holy Week is a time to pause, reflect, and reconnect with God and with one another.
