1. God's plan for a redeemer (vs1-5)
The Bible teaches us that poverty if fundamentally relational: the widow, the orphan and the foreigner are poor. And God has a plan for these types of poverty: (Deut. 25:5-10)
2. Boaz the faithful redeemer (vs6-12)
God is all about organized structures for helping those in need, and the Church primarily fills the need of relationships (Matt. 25:34).
3. Jesus the ultimate redeemer (Vs13-22)
Jesus is the ultimate Groom (Eph. 5), and He is the greater Redeemer, and we as the Church collectively are the redeemed Bride. Just as Boaz redeemed Ruth from her physical poverty when she asked him to, Jesus redeems us from our spiritual poverty with his blood, when we confess our sins and turn to him. (Eph. 1:7)
