Join us on Tuesday morning at the Drunk Bean Café in Childers for our monthly Parish Coffee Morning. A great opportunity to catch up, meet new people, and enjoy a coffee together.

Join us on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Childers, we will begin with Mass at 10:00am, followed by a delicious Filipino lunch and time together in community. Everyone is warmly invited to come along and enjoy the rich culture, hospitality, and traditions of our Filipino community.

🎊 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗲 🍇🫓
On Sunday our parish came together as one community to celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, traditionally known as 'Corpus Christi'.

It was a beautiful celebration of faith, unity, and thanksgiving, as parishioners from across our different Mass Centres gathered around the one altar, followed by our Eucharistic Procession and parish luncheon.

At the Eucharist, the centre of our life and the heart of our parish community, Christ is not only given to us. He forms us to be given for the life of the world.

Thank you to everyone who helped prepare, serve, pray, sing, process, and share in today’s celebration.

All are warmly invited to join us for our First Saturday of the Month Marian Mass this Saturday (tomorrow) at 9:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Childers.

As we begin a new month, we gather with Mary to pray, to entrust our parish and families to her care, and to draw closer to her Son, Jesus.

🫓 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🍇
This weekend, our parish will gather as one family to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi - the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

There will be one Mass only across the parish this weekend, as we bring together parishioners from the different parts of our parish community.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀
𝟵:𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆
𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀
Followed by a 𝗘𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻

After Mass and the procession, we will continue the celebration with a parish lunch. The parish will be providing a spit roast - a whole pig - and everyone is warmly invited to bring a plate of food to share, if you are able.

This is a beautiful opportunity for us to come together around the Eucharist, to give thanks for Christ’s presence among us, and to celebrate the life of our parish family.

This Sunday, 7 June, our entire parish will come together for a special One-Mass Weekend as we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi. To allow parishioners to gather as one community, there will be a single Solemn Mass at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Childers, followed by a Eucharistic Procession and Parish Luncheon. We encourage everyone to make the journey and join us for this special celebration.

✨𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸’𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆✨
"When God feels hidden, we are often tempted to make him smaller, more visible, and more manageable. But the living God cannot be reduced to something we can hold or control. The Holy Trinity reminds us that God is not far away or finished with us. God is love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that is with us in every part of our lives."

💡𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆💡
On this Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we are invited not to solve a puzzle, but to enter more deeply into the mystery of the living God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The story of the golden calf reminds us how easily, in fear and impatience, we can try to make God smaller, more visible, and more manageable.

Yet God does not walk away from his people. He reveals himself as tenderness, compassion, kindness, and faithfulness. In Christ, God comes near not because the world is perfect, but because it is wounded. Each time we make the Sign of the Cross, we place our lives again in the love of the Trinity, trusting that God is not far away and God is not finished with us.

Today at the Isis Club was such a beautiful gathering mug painting, cuppas, platters, chats, babies, mummas, younger and older generations all coming together in the loveliest way. Hosted by the amazing Sage Holt, with a big thank you to Fr. Jack for helping make these special events possible.

It was so wonderful to sit down, mingle, and connect with one another while making everyone feel welcome and included, all while enjoying a fun little activity we could take home and treasure. These moments of creativity, conversation, and connection are such a beautiful way to bring people together.

I hope all you ladies enjoyed yourselves today, had a positive experience, and took something meaningful away from spending time together and trying something different. Creating spaces where women of all ages can connect, support one another, and simply enjoy each other’s company is truly something special 🤍

❤️‍🩹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🙏
Like many in our local community, we are deeply saddened by the tragic events that took place in Childers this week.

We pray for Laurie who died and for his grieving family, for those who were injured, for their families and friends, and for all who witnessed or responded to these distressing events. We also pray for our police, ambulance officers, medical staff, the young man affected by mental health struggles, our mental health workers and all those who continue to support the people affected.

At times like this, many people feel shocked, anxious, angry, or deeply unsettled. These feelings are understandable. As a community, may we be gentle with one another, careful with our words, and mindful that many lives have been impacted in ways we may not fully see.

We invite our community to come together in prayer, compassion, and care for one another. Sacred Heart Church in Childers is open each day from 5:30am to 6:00pm. All people are welcome to come in, find a quiet place of solace, and to light a candle for those affected.

May God bring comfort to the grieving, healing to the injured, strength to those who are traumatised, and peace to our community.
