If you want my vote, you'd better do these three things, in this order:

1. Promote Sanctity of Life: ban all elective abortion.

2. Promote Free Speech (Sanctity of Truth): demolish all anti-discrimination tribunals and human rights commissions, and repeal Section 18C of the racial discrimination act.

3. Promote Australian culture (our Christian foundation & values): end multiculturalism and mass immigration.

I have a multi generational living property, and bought it nearly 18 years ago.

"Wealthy enough to buy loneliness" is foolishness. The nuclear family isn't as bad as single parent family, but both are less than God's plan.

Extended family is the God-designed, first safety net for family members who need loving, accountable support & wisdom. Distance retards God's plan for that.

Being established in and loyal to a local church community is the second.

Government should be redundant, but no more than the third option (all other things being equal).

Dave Ramsey is normally right, but in this his thinking is conformed to Western consumerism, not transformed and renewed. The mythical trophy of "independence" is a safety net for dysfunction and demons, both discomforted by maturing in Christ, Bible believing communities.

Have big, close, multi generational families. Have close, social church communities. Do away with child care, elder care, government education, and over the top therapeutisation of everything. Nurture resilience. Make disciples.
