The weight you're carrying, He's carrying it with you. The marriage, the diagnosis, the child, the fear you've not said out loud. He bears all things by the word of His power and that word has not weakened. The fragments are over. God said everything He intends to say, and His name is Jesus. Beware of any political party, religion or church that advances its cause by demonising particular groups of people.

Beware of those who vilify a group of people and then justify unkindness towards them. Sadly, we Christians are not exempt from such behaviour—or from cheering on those who do.

Right now, it’s immigrants and Muslims. These attitudes are straight out of the N**i playbook. A century ago, Jews were maligned in Germany. “They” were blamed for the nation's woes, so it was deemed justifiable to persecute “them.”

While we need secure borders and a measured immigration policy, we must resist the temptation to denigrate an entire group of people. We find good and bad in every people group—mostly good. Let’s be wise and discerning enough to recognise this and resist political and religious systems that act inappropriately.

Jesus' identity flowed from relationship, not performance.

In becoming a man, Jesus never ceased to be God.

He did not become a lesser god, nor was he an angel.

Jesus did not exchange divinity for humanity.

Jesus was (and is) 100% God and 100% human.

In Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body
(Colossians 2:9).
