Looking for something meaningful to listen to on Tisha B'Av?
I plan to avoid Facebook over Tisha B'Av. But I thought I'd jump on and share a few shiurim I recently gave on the Book of Eicha based upon the incredible writings of Dr. Yael Ziegler. Her Book "Faith in a Turbulent World" really opened up the text of Eicha for me, and gave me profound insight into the many messages the book communicates that speak directly to our experience.
1. This is the Shiur I gave tonight on the Structure and Heart of the Book (30 min.):

2. This is the shiur I have last week on the Theology of Suffering in the Book of Eicha (1 hr):

3. This was the introduction to the Book which discusses the historical background of Megillat Eicha (1 hr):

I hope these ideas are as powerful for you as they were for me and that they help enhance your Tisha B'Av.
May we merit to internalize the message of this day and let it propel to the best versions of ourselves and as a people and may we merit to seek the complete redemption, this coming year
