Our sages taught, “G‑d only tells us to do that which He does Himself.”

He tells us to open the door on the nights of Passover. It must be that He does the same.

On the nights of Passover, the One Above opens every door and every gateway for every single Jew.

Regardless of whatever you have done over the past year, on these two nights you can attain the highest levels in a single leap.

You cannot blame yourself, never mind persecute yourself, for how you feel. But you can rejoice in the battle of controlling and sublimating those feelings.

Every small victory within yourself is a major triumph over the darkness of this world. Indeed, this is why this darkness was placed within you, in order that you may transform it into great light.

Evyatar David and Guy Gilboa-Dalal have been best friends since childhood. They were both kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7 from the Nova music festival and held hostage for two years.

While in captivity, their bond became a lifeline.

“It was a kinship of survival. Everything we got, we just split in two,” he said, noting that he would often try to give more to Guy than he kept for himself. “Everything was shared.”

“In captivity, it got an entirely different and deeper meaning,” Evyatar responded. “It became something that it wasn’t before, that you cannot forge in real life.”

They endured the horror of the tunnels. The pair offered harrowing details regarding their physical condition during their confinement.

Guy described a period where they resembled “skeletons,” their bodies shutting down from malnutrition and immobility. After enduring the majority of their captivity side by side, the friends were separated during the final two months before their release.

What joy it is to see Evyatar and Guy in freedom together ❤️

Our brains can orbit about the truth forever, but they have no feet to land.

There is a faculty, however, that doesn’t need to travel to find truth; for which truth was never hidden or obscured. For it is a native of truth from birth.

It is not blind faith. It is an inner vision. It is not mind; it is yet more essential to our very being.

It is the foundation from which meaningful thought begins and with it all things resolve. For it knows intimately that which the mind can only glimpse upon through the shifting clouds.
