No Services at Kehilat Nitzan this Shabbat!!!!

Unfortunately, the significant water leak at the synagogue has worsened, and we have had to temporarily shut off the building’s water supply to prevent further damage.

Repairs are expected to take place early next week, once the necessary Council permit has been received.

As a result, the building cannot safely and appropriately accommodate our community at present, and we regret that services will not take place at Kehilat Nitzan this Shabbat.

We are hopeful that the issue will be resolved, but should it continue beyond early next week, we will make alternative arrangements and will keep the community informed.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Shabbat Shalom,

Anna Plotkin, President and Rabbi Yonatan

Join us for an important and timely presentation with Joshua Dabelstein, speaking on behalf of Movement Against Antizionism — MAAZ AU.

This session will examine how antizionism operates in contemporary society, how it differs from “political criticism", and why it has become one of the most urgent challenges facing Jewish communities today. First and foremost, MAAZ AU is an emergency response, providing a harm prevention toolkit to schools, organisations, institutions, community groups, and the general public.

Drawing on the work of Adam Louis-Klein, Naya Lekht, and Andrew Pessin, the talk will explore the ways antizionism appears in public discourse, media, universities, workplaces, activism, and everyday life. Through real-world examples and practical discussion, he will unpack common narratives, misconceptions, and forms of stigma, while providing tools to identify and respond to them with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

This is not a session about debating Israeli politics. It is about recognising antizionist prejudice when it appears, understanding how it functions, and developing the confidence to respond constructively and strategically when confronted with it.

Whether you are a student, professional, community member, parent, or simply interested in learning more about this critical issue, this presentation will offer valuable insights and practical takeaways for navigating an increasingly complex environment.

All are welcome.

CLICK HERE TO READ RABBI YONATAN'S ARTICLE FEATURED IN THE AJN ABOUT THE PROPSED LEGISLATION AFFECTING PLURALISM AT THE KOTEL

"I ask us all a hard question. Is this what the Jewish People need today? Is this a time to increase the division among us? And yet today, amid war, antisemitism, and political exhaustion, the story barely registers in the news."
