Casino's Own Wireless hit the airwaves in 1994, in a small caravan at the top of a hill near the meatworks. Today the station runs from its own building not far from the original spot on Queensland Road, staffed by a crew of dedicated volunteers. Our coverage area goes at least 15km out of Casino, on a good day as far as Ballina, the Queensland border and Evans Head. Presenters play a wide range o

f music from country, rock'n'roll, Aboriginal, gospel and whatever else listeners enjoy. We can be received in most towns on the map shown. Tune your radio to 107.9 Megahertz, at the top of the FM band.

Helen’s interview today was with Cheryl Mison from the Casino and District Family History Group. They shared information about the upcoming "Appraisal Day" at the Casino Community Centre on Saturday 12th September from 10 am to 2 pm.
All are welcome to bring along your treasured items and"Bert"from Summerland Antiques will give you extra details on its history and value.
