Casino's Own Wireless hit the airwaves in 1994, in a small caravan at the top of a hill near the meatworks. Today the station runs from its own building not far from the original spot on Queensland Road, staffed by a crew of dedicated volunteers. Our coverage area goes at least 15km out of Casino, on a good day as far as Ballina, the Queensland border and Evans Head. Presenters play a wide range o

f music from country, rock'n'roll, Aboriginal, gospel and whatever else listeners enjoy. We can be received in most towns on the map shown. Tune your radio to 107.9 Megahertz, at the top of the FM band.

🎈🎈 Way to go Team Casino High School - an excellent tribute to our much loved presenter 🕊️❤️ Brenda Armfield ❤️🕊️ a dedicated & loyal presenter of her weekly programs “Anything Goes” and “Down Memory Lane” since 1998. Brenda was an absolute little legend & a champion in her support for many community organisations within her home town of Casino. Thus the tremendous amount of love shown since her passing in December 2025 🕊️❤️🕊️

With five Sundays falling in May, the Casino Miniature Railway will be open for an additional public running day today.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend Nathan’s funeral service to be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Canterbury Street, Casino, on Tuesday, 9th June, commencing at 10:00am.

Following the service there will be a private family burial.

A memorial reflection of Nathan’s life will be held at the Casino RSM Club, commencing at 12noon.
