A custom designed Video Production System for a Local Church

A Local church in Mornington Peninsula required a portable video production system for quick deployment and pack up in different premises they use. A simple and friendly operation was also required for the team of volunteers with no prior experience in video production.
Orion Applied Technology designed and built a dual 1080p / 12x optical zoom / PTZ camera that is connected to a road case rack enclosing video capture, audio interface, local wifi router and a powerful laptop to handle camera switching, PTZ control, title generation, transitions, recording and live streaming.
The team of operators were trained on system operation and basics of video production. They were able to support the church on a weekly 10 sessions Bible seminar on the book of Daniel straight after delivery. The system uses a local wifi to connect presenter’s laptop and capture slides wirelessly that are integrated to the stream. The recording is done on 1080p and the streaming is done reliably at 720p, using 4G network which is integrated into the router. The PTZ control is done with the camera remote via IR extender.
