Today we celebrate the blessing of families on International Day of Families ❤️

In a world that often feels uncertain, the family remains central to God’s plan for His children. The proclamation to the world reminds us of eternal truths that bring purpose, identity, stability, and hope.

The Family: A Proclamation to the World teaches “The family is ordained of God. Marriage between a man and a woman is essential to His eternal plan.”

The proclamation also teaches that:
“Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose.”

These teachings remind us that our divine identity matters. Mothers and fathers have sacred and complementary responsibilities, and children flourish when surrounded by love, faith, sacrifice, and truth.

Today, our generation, each of us, needs to sustain and share the Family Proclamation. Gratitude is to be shown for individuals who speak up to protect these truths in Australia. Add your name today as a witness of eternal families.

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we can strengthen our homes by:

• Showing greater love and patience
• Teaching faith in Christ
• Protecting family relationships
• Honouring our divine identity and purpose
• Creating homes centered on prayer, service, and peace

No family is perfect, but through Jesus Christ families can grow stronger, heal, and become places of belonging and eternal hope.

Happy International Day of Families 🤍

Passing along this beautiful teaching.

🌱I always wondered what this verse from Psalm 23 meant. I thought "He anoints my head with oil" was a figurative language meaning God kept the psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel.
“You anoint my head with oil”
Sheep often get their heads stuck in traps and die trying to untangle themselves. And there are horrible flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils that then turn into worms and drive the sheep to hit their heads against the rocks, sometimes to death. His ears and eyes are also susceptible to the storm of insects. Then the pastor anoints the whole sheep head with oil. And just like that the sheep manages to have peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy them. Do you have mental storm moments? Do worrying thoughts invade your mind again and again? Do you bump your head against the wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil?. He has an endless supply! His oil protects and enables you to fix your heart, mind and eyes on Him.. today and always! There is Peace in the Valley! May our Father anoint your head with oil today and always so that your life may overflow with His Spirit, health and blessings forever!

Today, we pause to remember the courage of the ANZACs, ordinary men and women who did extraordinary things in the face of fear, uncertainty, and sacrifice.

From an eternal perspective, their courage reflects a deeper, divine pattern , the courage of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

On ANZAC Day, we honour those who stepped forward when called. Yet Christ stepped forward willingly, knowing perfectly what lay ahead. In the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross, He showed the greatest courage the world has ever known, not only to face death, but to overcome sin, suffering, and sorrow for all mankind.

“Behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all… which suffering caused myself… to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore.” Doctrine and Covenants 19:16,18

The bravery of the ANZACs points us to Him. Their sacrifice echoes His. Their willingness to serve reminds us of His perfect love.

As we remember them today, may we also reflect on our own lives:

• Do we have the courage to stand for truth?

• The courage to follow Christ, even when it’s difficult?

• The courage to serve, love, and lift those around us?

“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid… for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

This ANZAC Day, we remember.
We honour. We look to Jesus Christ, the source of all courage, hope, and peace.

Lest we forget. 🇦🇺

Happy Australia Day! We are blessed to have Australia as the country we live and worship in. A country we can lookup to see the Southern Cross as a reminder of Christ and His love for us.

A time as wards and branches we unite together to sing Advance Australia Fair. Well done to Bishop Scott and his counsellors for singing loud and proud 🥲 in the Summer Hill ward yesterday. Most wards have an Australian Day brekkie each year.

Each day as we take time to reflect on Christ we can be inspired by experiences of those who accept Christ in their life. A favourite article shows what happens when an entire town in Australia became converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
