You don't have to audition for a love that's already yours.

So much of life teaches us that commitment has conditions.

Be good enough. Stay impressive. Don't make too many mistakes. And maybe you'll be worth staying for.

But Jesus tells a different story.

He knows the messiness of our lives. He sees the imperfections of His Church. And still, He chooses to love, restore and remain faithful.

His commitment isn't built on our perfection. It's built on His love.

And when that truth finally sinks in, something changes.

We stop trying to earn our place and start learning to live from the love we've received.

We find the courage to grow, the grace to begin again, and a deeper desire to love the people Jesus loves.

Because the Church isn't a gathering of people who've proven themselves worthy.

It's a family being transformed by the One who never gave up on them.

We are loved before we get it right. And that love is what makes us new.

What if the Church was never meant to be a collection of perfect people, but a community of people being made new?

Different stories. Different backgrounds. Different struggles. People who might never have crossed paths, let alone shared a table.

Yet somehow, Jesus brings us together.

Not because we agree on everything. Not because we've got our lives sorted. And certainly not because we've mastered a list of religious rules.

But because the same grace that brings us to Jesus also brings us to one another.

That's the beauty of the Church.

It's not a place where we pretend our differences don't exist. It's a community where the Holy Spirit is creating something beautiful through them.

Something the world can't manufacture through shared interests, social status or good behaviour.

A new kind of family. A new way of living. A glimpse of what reconciliation looks like.

Because Christianity isn't about becoming better at following rules. It's about following Jesus and being made new together.

You can’t earn what God has already freely given.

We live in a world where almost everything comes with a price tag. Work harder. Give more. Do better. Prove you deserve it.

But the love of Jesus doesn't work that way.

God isn't keeping score of your generosity, counting your volunteer hours, or measuring your worth by how much you contribute.

He wants your heart, not your rΓ©sumΓ©.

And that's what makes generosity so beautiful.

We don't give to get God's attention. We give because we already have His love.

We don't serve to earn a place in His family. We serve because He's already welcomed us in.

This is the heart behind Be Rich. Not an obligation to fulfil, but an opportunity to let the love we've received overflow into the lives of others.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in Operation Christmas Child this year! Your generosity is doing more than filling a shoebox. It’s bringing joy, hope and the love of Jesus to a child somewhere around the world.

If you’ve filled a box, don’t forget to bring it back to Cannington/Baldivis THIS SUNDAY πŸ™Œ Together, we get to make a world of difference in the life of a child we may never meet, but who will know they are loved!

What if the goal of life isn’t to collect as much as we canβ€”but to give our lives to something that matters?

Our culture constantly asks, β€œWhat can I get from this?”

Jesus invites us to ask a different question:

β€œWhat can flow through me?”

Your influence. Your resources. Your opportunities. Your courage. Even your willingness to do what’s right when doing what’s right costs you.

Following Jesus won’t always be convenient. Sometimes obedience means choosing integrity over advancement, generosity over accumulation, and purpose over comfort.

But that’s where a different kind of flourishing begins.

We weren’t created simply to consume everything that comes our way.

We were created to become conduits of God’s goodness to the world around us.
