DIVINE WORSHIP & SUNDAY SCHOOL | 31 May 2026
Last Sunday morning, the brethren of PMCC (4th Watch) Perth gathered once again with grateful hearts to offer our worship, praise, and thanksgiving unto the Lord.
We began our Sunday Worship with spiritual nourishment through our Sunday School as we listened to the Words of God through Oras ng Katotohanan preached by Apostle Jonathan S. Ferriol.
Despite the physical exhaustion from the previous day's Sportsfest and the unfavorable weather conditions, the brethren of PMCC (4th Watch) Perth gathered with joyful hearts to worship God in spirit and in truth.
The Divine Worship Service commenced with a spirit-filled Praise and Worship led by Sis. Meiji Candelaria together with the Perth Praise and Worship Team. This was followed by a powerful opening prayer led by Elder Jose Rico, inviting God's presence and blessing upon the congregation. The Scripture Reading was then rendered by Bro. Sean Escritor.
Songs of praise and thanksgiving were offered unto the Lord by the Cadets and the Perth Harmony of Praise, bringing glory and honor to His holy name.
The Offertory Message was ministered by Ptr. Reshen Valdez, who shared the message entitled "Overcoming Our Fears Through Established Faith" from John 14:1-2. Through God's Word, the congregation was reminded that faith in Christ enables us to overcome fear and trust in His promises despite life's uncertainties.
A special moment of joy and dedication followed as Baby David Rufo was presented before the Lord. Together with his parents, Bro. Jesson and Sis. Marjorie Rufo, they entrusted and dedicated their child to God, committing to raise him according to His will and purpose.
The Divine Worshop Message was then delivered by our Head Minister, Bro. Isaiah Mark Valdez, through the sermon entitled "The Dare of Walking in the Narrow Gate and Narrow Road" based on Matthew 7:13-14.
He began by emphasizing how many people today seek only what is easy and convenient. While there may be a way that appears right to man, it ultimately leads to destruction. Many avoid the narrow road because of its challenges, not realizing that the Narrow Gate is none other than Jesus Christ Himself. Choosing the narrow gate and walking the narrow road leads believers into a life of sanctification and faithfulness to God.
He challenged the congregation with a powerful question: Are we willing to dare to walk the narrow road that Jesus Himself established?
The message highlighted several ways we can faithfully walk this path:
1. Self-Denial and Discipleship
Entering the narrow road requires a life marked by self-denial and discipleship, submitting even our greatest ambitions to the sovereignty of God.
2. Separation from the World
Believers must refuse the systems and values of this world and choose to live according to God's standards.
3. Accepting the Reality of Persecution
Following Christ comes with opposition and challenges, yet there is joy and blessing even in the midst of insults and persecution for His Name's sake.
4. Endurance and Perseverance
Jesus never promised a path free from difficulties. Instead, He calls us to persevere, keeping our eyes fixed on Him as we continue our journey of faith.
As the message concluded, the congregation was reminded not to be misled by the temporary attractions of the world. Rather, we must continue walking faithfully on the narrow road, for it leads to the glorious promise of eternal life with Christ.
Truly, God has once again refreshed, strengthened, and encouraged His people through His Word. May we continue to accept the challenge of walking through the Narrow Gate and remaining steadfast on the Narrow Road until the very end.
To God be all the glory!
